Microvellum Foundation Library Release Notes | Build 22.1207

The following release notes apply to Microvellum Foundation Library, Build 22.1207

Additions:

  1. Added a new subassembly called “Decorative Routing” which can be added to any product to produce parametric decorative routing to any face. To demonstrate, this has been added to the Valance product and the Box End product.
  2. Added a generic 2D Leg Leveler section drawing to represent leg levelers in 2D cabinet sections. Updated the hardware drawing “Leg Leveler Section.dwg” to match your desired leg leveler.
  3. Added new global variable “Cabinet Depth Includes Door”, located inside the User Preferences category. Select the checkbox to include the Finished Face (Door) thickness and the Door to Cabinet Gap as the product depth for open cabinets. Otherwise, the Depth of all cabinets will only be the carcass box.
Added a new subassembly, “2D Instructions”, to facilitate a new location for storing 2D draw tokens (see Modifications below).

Modifications:

  1. Moved the location of all 2D Plan view, Elev view, Cross Section, Elev Section, & Plan Section draw tokens for most regular Frameless cabinets. They are now inside a single new subassembly called “2D Instructions”. At this time, the Corner, Angle, Closet, Face Frame, & other specialty products remain unchanged.
The reason the location of the draw tokens was moved is to encourage users to customize their own 2D text, dimensioning, and other annotations. After this update, users can exclude updating the “2D Instructions” subassembly, preventing their customizations from being overwritten.
  1. The default Depth value of all open cabinet products will no longer include the door thickness & gap. Select the new global option “Cabinet Depth Includes Door” to revert to the previous behavior.
  2. Selecting Screw Construction for Nailers will automatically switch to Dowel Construction at Finished Ends.

Resolutions:

  1. Resolved origin issues in certain cabinets when the finished end was a different thickness than the unfinished end. This occurred in double drawer & blind corner with drawer cabinet products.
  2. Resolved issue in the “Internal Drawers With Faces” subassembly. Drawer Depths will now calculate correctly.
  3. Resolved issue with certain Tab Pull 2D elevation drawings.
  4. Resolved issue with Aluminum Handle Door 2D elevation at Upper cabinet conditions. Also, the handles will now be on the HWR layer.
  5. Resolved issue with Blind Corner Mounting plates. Plate Location From Door Edge (X Origin) was not correct for Right Swing conditions.
  6. 2D Cross Section drawing of Countertops will now follow the parametric depth of the cabinet product instead of a global depth value.
  7. Resolved a Fixed Shelf Dado thickness issue inside the Vertical Splitter subassembly.
