Microvellum Release Notes | Build 25.2.0406.641
The following release notes apply to Microvellum build 25.2.0406.641.
Label Image Fix
Fig. 1: An error noting an incorrect number of Label Images. - An issue was reported wherein creating new G-code from an existing work order that was edited using nesting tools would prompt an error. Users specifically would receive an error stating that there was an incorrect number of label images. This issue has been resolved- the error should no longer appear in new work orders. However, it should be noted that while this issue has been resolved for new work orders, existing work orders with this issue may still have this problem occur. It is thus recommended to recreate and re-process any work orders that have prompted this issue.
Update Part Fix
Fig. 2: The object reference error upon updating a part. - When changing the processing station during nest editing of a composite, it is expected that parts will update to reflect the changes in processing station rules. However, some users instead experienced an object reference error, preventing the part from being updated properly. This issue has been resolved- this error should no longer occur when attempting to update a part and changing processing stations should result in the expected changes in the composite.
Project Copying Fix
- Users reported an issue that would appear when attempting to open room in a copied project. It is expected that when copying a project, all rooms, products, and other components of the project should be able to be opened and altered without issue. It was found by some users, however, that when attempting to open a room in their copied project, the software would freeze, with the Updating Drawing Information progress bar never advancing to the point of closure, preventing them from editing any products or interacting with the room. This issue has been resolved. Copied projects should now be able to open and be modified without issue, and the progress bar should no longer stall.
Part Properties Fixes
- An issue was reported wherein attempting to open the Part Properties interface would result in an error occurring in the software. Noticeably, this issue would occur when placing a product with the interface open and repeated even if attempting to do so in a new project or room. This issue has been resolved. This error in the interface should no longer occur, and products should be able to be placed and modified without issue.
- There was an issue in Part Properties, which would occur when opening the Part Properties interface, causing an error to occur in Microvellum BSB. This noticeably was only the case in rooms wherein a product was affixed to a wall, and only after re-opening the room. This issue was resolved and should no longer appear in Microvellum BSB.
- A similar issue was reported when attempting to redraw products using the Part Properties interface. After closing and re-opening a room, and attempting to modify a product, users experienced an unhandled exception error. This noticeably only occurred when the product in question was connected to a 2D Elevation drawing. This issue has been resolved. 2D Elevation drawings should no longer cause any issues with the Part Properties interface.
Scrap Inventory Fix
- There was a reported issue in Microvellum AC, wherein processing would freeze when specific values were set in the Scrap Management section of the Processing Station. Noticeably, processing would consistently freeze shortly before the Commit Scrap to Inventory interface would pop up. This issue also only would occur if the operation was set using Microvellum’s legacy optimizer. This issue has been resolved, and processing should now proceed as normal, without significant issues in scrap management.
- An issue was occurring when using the Find and Replace feature in the Material File. It is intended to be the case that formula driven materials are unable to be altered via the Find and Replace feature, due to the necessity of retaining the material name for formula functionality. This was found to not be the case, with formula-driven materials being able to have their names altered, resulting in the loss of the formula (due to the change of the name breaking the formula). This issue has been resolved- formula driven materials should now be unable to be altered via Find and Replace.
Product Prompts Fixes
A pair of issues connected to the recent changes to the Product Prompts UI in Microvellum build 25.2.0317.641 have been reported.
- Users who added products to a room via the Product List and then attempted to draw them using the Product Viewer found that the product would not be drawn but instead received a pop-up warning noting that the product was not found in the active drawing. This issue has been resolved- this workflow and process should no longer experience this issue. Drawing a product via product viewer should result in the product being drawn as intended.
- Some users reported an issue with filling walls with products. After filling a wall with products, it was sometimes the case that modifying the values of the products would result in one of the products changing its item number to match the first product placed. This issue has been resolved. Additionally, a slight change has been applied to ensure that when working with multiple products, the Product Prompts UI will automatically save and close, as opposed to allowing one to use the “Save” option, to prevent issues with multiple products being drawn or modified.
