2D MACHINING

can anyone explain to me why it is when we add machining to a part in the edit part in 2D and then process the part it loses the correct tooling. I have a part the has a cut thru with the cutout tool and  a single line path with a 45 miter. when i process the part it loses the 45 miter tool and reverts back to the default cutout tool. WHY?
