I could not locate anything about adding a new hinge / hinge plates for FRAMELESS
We sometimes have customers request Hardware Resources hinges - Example: 725 Series - 110°
Well the "tab" with the overlays do not really much up to anything real well. We sometimes just end up using a Salice, which has a static 5mm "tab" dimension, and we change the calc from =5/Unit_Divisor to =7/Unit_Divisor in the "LookUpTableHingePlates" table.
I found this about the someone else having an issue but nothing about adding a new hinge
So ... we'd like to add Full Overlay, Half Overlay and Inset for HR Hinges [90°, 105°, 110°, 125°, 165° & 170°] and the associated plates of [0mm, 2mm, 3mm, 6mm and 9mm]
What I know and just need guidance and re-assuring is that we add to the tables:
- LookUpTableHinge
- Add all the 3 conditions and appropriate angle for VLookups for overlay/reveal to hinge plate table
- LookUpTableHingePlate
- Add new column for overlay lookups - Appears you need (8) columns?
- Add entry to List_Hinge_Selection
- None|BLUM|Grass Tiomos|Grass Institutional|HAFELE|HETTICH|INSTITUTIONAL|SALICE|HR
- Add entry for List_Hinge_Angle_HR
- 90 deg|105 deg|110 deg|125 deg|165 deg|170 deg
- Add entry for Hinge_Plate_Inset_HR
- All seem to be 1.4567?? Not sure 37mm or 1.4567 refers to?
- New Entries into Hinges and Hinge Plate Hardware Library and Tokens
- All similar Ø35mm bore and Ø8mm drills for hinge cup bores
- All similar Ø5mm drills for hinge plates
What else I'm I missing to tackle this???
Attached is the PDF export for the 110° hinge overlay charts for frameless, full, half and inset. The "tabs" need to vary from 3mm to 7mm - depending on the overlay calculation and/or hinge plate thickness options.
Typically our plates would be the 0mm with nominal 3/4" material for the cabinet carcass sides. But sometimes our sides jump to 21mm [0.83"] thickness with 1/16" reveal resulting in the need for a 7mm "tab" vs a standard typical 5mm "tab" and that's where our problem is. Or going under for thickness and needing a thicker hinge plate or small "tab"
Can anyone point us in the right direction to add this into the library. Or a better way around it?
Thank you!
