Configurations

Is it possible / recommended to switch between a configuration of SQL Ce and a different configuration with SQL Server? I work remotely. Most of the time i work locally with SQL Ce. But I'm also managing the library on a server at our main office in another state. I've been using teamviewer to log into a workstation there and do updates etc but that workstation has now been commandeered by a intern!

Any thoughts?
