Curious About Engineering Capacity and Staffing
Just wondering how other companies staff themselves, such as:
- number of MV engineers compared to overall number of employees
- number of MV engineers vs. dollar amount going through each week
- number of MV engineers vs. number of products produced or drafted each week
And specifically related to millwork die walls, how many engineers different companies have working on die walls and what kind of capacity are they able to turn out.
For example, we currently expect one millwork engineer to engineer (to be production ready) between 3-7 die walls a day on average (depending on complexity) as well as draw the submittal and/or production drawings for said walls. I was curious how this compared to others, if anyone wants to chime in.
