FEATURE REQUEST: Control of colors & transparency in 3D draw token

If I remember correctly, you used to be able to set the color of a layer used for a part by putting an * after the layer, with the color name/number.  Ex.  DRAW3DBOX LAYER*150.  This doesn't appear to function anymore.  I would like it back, or ideally something even more customizeable.

What I'd really love is to be able to have parts draw on the SAME layer but as VARYING colors.  That way, I could keep all my pre-setup viewports as is, with layers for certain types of parts turned on/off based on view, but can have a visual representation of the colors being used on the job (or similar) in the 3D drawing.

For example, say I have the following on an elevation:
2 countertops (DRAW3DBOX TOPS*BLUE)
3 blue cabinets (DRAW3DBOX CABINETS*BLUE)
3 red cabinets (DRAW3DBOX CABINETS*RED)

I would love the actual colors to show up in 3D.  So, half the cabinets would draw blue and half red.  This helps verify we are using the correct ones, and gives a more accurate representation of the actual design.
By using the same layer (CABINETS) for all the cabinets, regardless of color, this would maintain the proper control over those parts in the 2D viewports.  In a top down plan view, for instance, the TOPS layer could be solid and the CABINETS layer dashed.  All the cabinets would then appear dashed, regardless of color, since their layer stays the same and only the visual color changes.

Similarly, if you could add the transparency, like DRAW3DBOX 3FORM*BLUE*70, that would be even better!

Please let me know if any of these options exist and I am unaware.
