Fixed / Adj shelf thickness

Hi all,

What would be the easiest way to use 25mm thick shelf instead of 16mm IF the cabinet is wider that 1000mm?  I know there's probably several ways to achieve this, I'm just curious to see how users have achieved this in the past.
