It has come to the attention of the Microvellum team that the phase change in cumulative updates has caused some confusion amongst some clients. As such, we've decided to clarify it with a post to reduce misunderstandings.
Microvellum has offered cumulative updates with the Foundation Library releases, allowing users to download all the assets and changes from multiple different builds with a single .zip file (Usually, this would be marked as “Update Package Zip”).
To download this cumulative file, one had to first have the baseline version from which the cumulative update originates, as some of the additions or changes were significant enough to potentially cause functionality problems if one didn’t have the necessary files in one’s Library.
Previously, the baseline Foundation Library version one had to be on to download cumulative Library Updates was Build 22.0729 (as in, for one to update their Foundation Library to any version that was released after 22.0729, they had to first update their Library to version 22.0729). The cumulative update(s) from build 22.0729 to build 23.0517 is considered the first phase of cumulative updates.
The most recent Foundation Library updates use build 23.0517 as the new baseline, starting the second phase of cumulative updates. To update to the second phase (23.0517 onward) one first must have their library to the end of Phase 1 (23.0517).
