Foundation Library Product Highlight: The Master Extruded Countertop



With Foundation Library build 24.0520, extruded products are continuing an overhaul to their functionality. Four existing extruded countertop products within the Extruded Products category have been replaced with updated versions based on a new master product: the Extruded Master Countertop.
This versatile new 3D extruded product has multiple features that offers users a great degree of customizability with their countertops/benchtops, including:
  • The availability of connector hardware (toggle bolts) with associative machining for integration into each product. These are added on straight, angled, and radius countertops automatically as you draw, though they can be moved or removed in accordance to need.
  • Multi-product drawing when the product is extruded along a polyline comprised of different segments, with one product being extruded along each respective segment. Products will be drawn with different item numbers but use the same initial prompt settings during drawing.
  • Options for buildup, backsplash, join options (Butt, Miter, Elbow) as well as countertop front edge detailing.
  • A variable to offset the product from the polyline it is extruded upon (positioning left or right of the product included).
  • The product’s depth can be changed and regenerate from the polyline offsets and geometries. No need to delete products and add again.
  • Able to handle more complex polylines than its predecessor (Non blended Radius).
