Hello Community!
I would like to use this post to cast out my line seeking to connect with any members or company agents who might be looking to add a very experienced millwork/casework Engineer AND Microvellum "expert" to their team. I would rather find a long-term home but may entertain some contract work. I don't want to sound conceded when I use the term "expert." I do so with regards to the fact that I haven't encountered an issue within MV where I wasn't able to solve the problem or come up with a viable solution. I understand all the components of MV in such a way that I can dive deep into the program, excel formulas, and the SQL DB to discover the root of whatever results are needing addressed. I also have extensive knowledge of tool files, reports, and excel formulas.
First, and foremost, I live in Nebraska and am not really considering to relocate. My last position was 99% remote and I had my access setup in such a way where there wasn't much I couldn't do remotely. I'd be happy to explain further for any interested parties.
I am an Engineer by nature, not through typical education. I've been in the cabinetry industry since 2004 (almost 20 years), and I've been working with Microvellum since 2006. I'm actually more of a technical/software guy than I am a woodworker, but I landed in cabinetry, none the less, and excelled with Microvellum from the very beginning.
Most of my 20-ish years in the industry, I have been a leader and mentor for other Engineers. My skills and abilities could be used to perform Project Engineer roles but my true value, I believe, is my ability to develop process and systems to support the Engineering department whereas they can perform at a higher level with greater results.
My passion, hands-down, is to develop using the Microvellum software platform to achieve the previously stated results. As quite a few of you members would agree, the structure of MV is wide open for development and there is so much that can be done within the program itself that a select few of us are only limited by our time and creativity.
I'm not going to post my resume here but I will be happy to send it to specific interested individuals.
I will definitely engage in conversation here but would ask that we start any serious dialogue offline.
