Dynamic Product Images are a compilation of Toolbox’s internal FLATSHOT (or metafile) tokens. These tokens allow you to create multiple views of a product quickly. Most of the library products, by default, contain two “sheet views” of dynamic images. The first sheet will draw a plan view, elevation, cross-section, and an isometric view of the selected product. The second sheet will draw an exploded isometric view with a parts list.
Dynamic Product Images can also be automatically generated when creating work orders. There are built-in reports that will use these images, eliminating the need to create detailed drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
To access the Draw Dynamic Product Image command, in Toolbox, browse to Draw > 2D Drawings.
The command, once executed, will prompt you to select a product and then select a placement point in the drawing.
By default, the dynamic images include a title block that allows for quick printing from the Model tab (drawing space) without having to create new layout tabs.
