Foundation Library Catalog: Fixtures and Extruded Products

This document lists the full range of extruded products and fixtures available in Microvellum's Foundation Library. Extruded products are products that drawn or extruded along a 2D polyline path, allowing for the creation of products in a wide variety of shapes, with many extruded products automatically creating separate segments based on the angle/shape of the line itself. Products within this category of the Foundation Library vary, with options for extruding countertops, die walls, cabinets, a toe kick base, moldings, as well as parts that can be combined and customized to create or add onto a new product. 


This document will reference “Standard Prompts”, referring to the set of prompts that are generally present in all products in the Microvellum Foundation Library catalog by default. These prompts will not be listed among the prompts of products, as they are considered default. Standard Prompts are the following:

The Extruded Master Countertop is the master level product from which all other extruded countertop products are derived- The product is shaped along the polyline path selected upon drawing, with each arc or corner in the polyline resulting in a second product segment being drawn.

The Master Die Wall is the product from all other extruded die wall products are derived, having the widest array of prompts and options, with every prompt from the full range of die wall products (skins, studs, segments, toe kick options, foot rails, etc.) being available in the master product. The Extruded Master Cabinet product that the Extruded Base Cabinet is built from, able to be customized and modified to create different extruded cabinet products. This product can contain up to 5 different cabinet storage sections, uses standard prompts, as well as prompts specific to extruded cabinets (cabinet quantity, override angles, multiple cabinet options, etc.) By default, the cabinet quantity is set to 5, with a maximum width of 50.

The Extruded Base Cabinet contains both standard prompts for a cabinet as well as the set of prompts specific to extruded cabinets (max width, quantity of cabinets, etc.) By default, the cabinet quantity is set to 5, with a maximum width of 50.

Extruded Toe Kick Base

Product Description
The Extruded Toe Kick Base product is a toe kick base that is designed to conform to the shape of a given cabinet. The product has options for skin application (including adding multiple layers of skins) on the face and back of the product, as well as options for customizing the number of sleepers in the product (this is calculated by default based on the line the product was extruded along). As with most products, the Extruded Toe Kick Base utilizes standard prompt options, as well as options exclusive to extruded products such as setting of maximum wall length, segmenting of the product based on angle, and how much to offset (if at all) product position relative to the polyline path it was extruded along.

Product Description
The Extruded Master Part product from which the Extruded Horizontal Part, Extruded Vertical Part, and Extruded Part Collection are derived- the product is comprised of a customizable horizontal curved part, which can be segmented into multiple individual parts, and used as a basis to create a new product, with the part available for customization to create new part products as well. The product uses standard prompts and has prompts which control its Z-axis height, the level of offset from the polyline it is extruded from, as well as prompts to add optional elbow joins.

Extruded Part Horizontal

Product Description
The Extruded Part collection is a product comprised of multiple parts that can be modified to fit certain lengths. By default, the product contains 10 of these parts in vertical orientation. Parts can be customized on a part-by-part level, with a selection of orientation, positioning, as well as material for the part and the edges. The product features standard prompts as well as prompts specific to extruded parts, as well as options available for each of its respective parts within the collection.

The Extruded Crown product is an extruded molding product capable of being added to a room to add crown molding to the top of walls, appliances, or cabinetry.
