update viewbase in layout

Gday
is there a way to update my layouts when i have made changes to all the cabinets/walls associated with a viewbase? ie- i changed a wall length and the assciated cabinets.

my layouts just show red squares where the view used to be. if i click on it ,then edit view on the ribbon,i get no option to select model space.
