Microvellum Community Rules

Community Rules

The Microvellum Knowledge Network is a place of inspiration, learning, and collaboration. There are a few rules you need to be aware of before engaging with others...

Be Constructive, Not Destructive
One of the fundamental rules of our community forum is that conversations should be constructive, not destructive. This means that members should strive to engage in conversations that are positive, productive, and respectful, even when they disagree with one another. We understand that there may be differences of opinion on certain topics, and that's perfectly fine. However, we ask that members avoid making personal attacks, using abusive language, or engaging in behavior that is disruptive or harmful to the community. We encourage members to express their opinions and ideas in a constructive manner and to listen carefully to the perspectives of others. By doing so, we can create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas.

Be Respectful.
Do not post vulgar, profane, racist, sexist, homophobic or sexually suggestive content. Please use your best judgment.

No Personal Information.
You'll be participating in a public forum. Consider using an alias to protect your identity. As such, we recommend that you not post your personal information on this forum that you don’t want the world to know.

Don't Spam.
Do not use the Microvellum Knowledge Network as an opportunity to spam other community members. This will not be tolerated in any form. Keep in mind that this is not a place for unsolicited personal or commercial solicitation or advertising (e.g., “Win a free trip to Las Vegas”, etc.).

Don’t Upload or Post Inappropriate Content.
If a user uploads inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable content to the Microvellum Knowledge Network, such users may be banned from the Community. Microvellum may also edit or entirely remove such posts from the Community.

Don’t Troll or Bait.
The act of trolling is defined as something that is created with the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the Microvellum community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to Microvellum, and leave it at that.

Don’t Petition or Protest.
We do not allow petitions or protests on our forums. We feel that neither encourages nor allows for meaningful and constructive discussion. Instead of using a petition or protest, we recommend presenting your thoughts as a request or suggestion so everyone in the community can discuss it.

Please, No Flaming.
It’s okay to disagree and debate on the Community forums, but we do ask that you keep all disagreements civil, constructive, and on-topic. If a discussion gets heated and turns into a debate, remember that you should stick to debating the post and/or thread topic. It is never appropriate to resort to personal comments or jabs about those participating in the thread discussion.

Restrict Abusive Language & Disruptive Behavior.
We do not tolerate abusive language or disruptive behavior on our forums. This goes for abusive and disruptive comments and behavior that is directed at a Microvellum team member or community member. Please remember to be respectful and constructive at all times on our forums and help us maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all.

No Bashing or Slanderous Comments.
We do not permit the bashing of individuals, groups, or other companies on our forums. We believe that doing so is neither constructive nor in the spirit of our core values and community.

Keep it Legal.
Participating in, suggesting, or encouraging any illegal activity is cause for immediate removal and termination of a member’s use of and registration in the Community.

Observe Copyright & Trademark Laws.
The posting of copyrighted videos, photos, articles or other material beyond what is protected as fair use is prohibited, and Microvellum may remove such posts from the Community. Do not pass off someone else’s trademark or work as your own.

It’s Your Content.
The views and opinions expressed in the Microvellum Knowledge Network Community posts do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of Microvellum or its partners. Please remember that any comments or content you share on this site are your sole responsibility.

Keep Us Informed.
Our community team does monitor posts, but we may miss things from time to time. We encourage members to flag content that they feel violates any of the above Community Rules so we can review and take the appropriate action.

If you break these rules or are reported by a community member, your post may be removed, or you may be banned from further participation. Post removal and banning is at the discretion of the Microvellum management team.
