Splitting a project into phases

We have drawn a large job which now needs to be split in to phases (Phase 1 and Phase 2, for example) and we need the phase name to be shown on the report and the ptx files. 

Our only 'work around' we have is to rename the file each time we wish to save the Work Order as Phase 1 or Phase 2 (ie. "Filename_Phase1)

Is there a better way? The phase name needs to show on the report name and the ptx files.

Note - using the 'batch' tool on the Work Order screen does not add batch number information to the report.

Is there a way of referencing the Category in the configured work order name?
