Working Within the Cut Parts Tab

The Cut Parts tab is where parts within the product are located.
If the Cut Parts tab does not contain any parts, they may be contained in a subassembly.

Parts can be added manually to the Cut Parts tab. A minimum of five fields are required to manufacture parts: Part Name, Quantity, Width, Length, and a valid Material. Additionally, edgebanding can be applied to the edges of a part.

There are more fields required when a part needs to be drawn. To draw parts, you will need the following: Base Point, X Origin, Y Origin, Z Origin, X Rotation, Y Rotation, Z Rotation, and a 3D Drawing Token.

To have a part receive or distribute machining, you will need to provide a machine point and any necessary machine tokens and their parameters.

Refer back to the Part Properties section for more information on origins, rotations, base points, and machine points.

Right-clicking with a cell selected in the Cut Parts tab will display the following menu:

  1. Save Cut List to Disk – Allows you to save the product as a CUTX file.
  2. Cut – Allows you to cut a cell, or range of cells, from the spreadsheet.
