Toolbox Release Notes | Build 25.1.0807.641
The following release notes apply to Toolbox build 25.1.0807.641.
Extruded Product Builder Fixes
Issues with the Extruded Product Builder have been reported:
- There was an issue with the EPB not modifying products correctly. When working with extruded parts in the EPB and modifying the 2D model, the 3D model should automatically update to conform and match the changes to the 2D model. This was found to not be the case, with the 3D model not applying any alterations unless one manually redrew it.
Fig. 1: The origin of a part not moving (left) and moving (right).- When creating an extruded part or product using the EPB, it is expected that dimension or shape modifications to the part or product will result in positional changes for aspects of it such as the machining origin. This did not occur in Toolbox BSB when using the EPB, with extruded entities not having their origin and construction path moved in response to modifications, such as stretching.
- Both issues have been resolved- when working with the Extruded Product Builder, models both 2D and 3D should adjust correctly to any modifications made.
Command Lines
A few issues were reportedly occurring involving the command line in Toolbox BSB:
Fig. 2: The 2D Nesting Tools. - There was a problem with the command line when editing 2D parts. When editing a part in 2D, and attempting to use the 2D nesting tools, if the command line is still active in the program when attempting to select a tool, rather than receiving a pop-up warning that the command line was still active (as one is intended to see in this scenario), users would instead experience an error.
Fig. 3: The "Select Polyline" option and command line issue.- An issue was found when attempting to select a polyline to modify a part. Under the Modify tab, if one opened the “Add Part” interface and clicked “Select Polyline” while highlighting a product, which would ordinarily select the specific polyline in that model, it was found that one would instead receive a pop-up that the command line was still active, preventing one from selecting the polyline or modifying the intended part.
- Both issues have been resolved. It was found that both problems were being caused by a slight coding difference in the way Toolbox BSB handles commands, and a modification to the software code has been applied. As such, neither of these issues should still occur.
Redraw Walls Fix
Fig. 4: The BSB error occuring when attempting to redraw a wall.- There was a reported issue with redrawing walls in 2D elevations in Toolbox BSB. Attempting to redraw a wall that has a product placed on it from the database, would result in an error occurring. This issue would only occur when a 2D elevation drawing was placed within the room, and a product placed against the wall. This issue has been resolved, and redrawing walls should no longer cause this error.
3D Machining Fixes
A pair of 3D representation issues were reported within Toolbox BSB:
Fig. 5: A modeling error caused by moldings on a product.- When attempting to create a cabinet with moldings applied, such as the door of a Generic Five Piece Door, the moldings would not appear in the 3D model, instead causing an error.
Fig. 6: IFS Peanut fasteners not appearing (top) and appearing correctly (bottom).- When creating cabinets with machining for small hardware parts (such as invisible fasteners) that are extruded along a path, the hardware would not appear in the model.
- Both issues have been resolved- hardware machining and moldings should appear clearly and without error in 3D models.
Print Preview Fix
- An issue was reported wherein hitting the ESC key while a Print Preview was opened in Toolbox BSB would cause the software to crash. This issue has been resolved, and the crash should no longer occur.
Product Placement Fix
- There was an issue with the placement of products on walls in Toolbox BSB. Some users found that when placing a product on a wall, it would not be positioned correctly according to the distance value entered when selecting the wall. It was noted that this would only occur when setting the product to anchor left on the wall. This issue has been resolved. Products should now be placed correctly according to their positional values.
Window Focus Fix
- Some users reported an issue wherein closing the Edit Design Data interface would result in another open application being placed over the Toolbox BSB window. This issue has been resolved, and closing the EDD interface should no longer result in other windows opening in front of Toolbox.
Custom Visual Style Fix
- Issues were noted with the process of creating a custom visual style. When creating a custom visual style, then redrawing a product, it is expected that the software will switch to the 2D wireframe view (for faster processing), then switch back to the previous visual style. Users would instead find that while the cabinet would redraw, model space would not revert to the custom visual style, and the style itself would disappear from the list of visual styles.
- This issue has been resolved. When redrawing products, the visual style should revert correctly to the one previously active before the redraw, and custom visual styles should remain visible on the list of visual styles.
Licensing Refresh Fix
- Some users reported when switching between license types that they were required to activate their new license twice in Toolbox BSB before it was fully activated. This issue has been resolved. Users should now only need to activate their new license once to get it to activate correctly.
