Toolbox Release Notes | Build 25.1.0729.641
The following release notes apply to Toolbox build 25.1.0729.641
Custom Hatch Pattern Fix
- An issue was discovered when users attempted to create custom hatch patterns to be applied to a material in Toolbox BSB. It was found that when attempting to apply a custom hatch pattern to a material, the hatch pattern would error out and be rendered unusable. This issue was determined to be caused by a coding difference between AutoCAD and BricsCAD when the end user searches for hatch materials. This has been resolved, and custom hatch patterns should be able to be created and applied to materials without issue.
Redrawing Fix
- Some users reported an issue that would occur when attempting to redraw a custom product. When attempting to redraw a custom product created using SMA, it was sometimes the case that Toolbox BSB would either crash, experiencing a modeling operation error, or else take an excessive amount of time to redraw the product. This issue has been partially resolved- crashes should no longer occur, and the model should regenerate, though the issue with excessive loading times was not able to be addressed in this build, and is slated to be resolved in a future update.
Visual Style Fix
- When switching visual styles and redrawing products in Toolbox BSB, an issue was reported. When redrawing a product, it is expected that the product will temporarily switch from the current visual style to the default 2D wireframe visual style, due to that style’s low processing time, leading to decreased time waiting for a model to redraw. However, it was found that when users redrew a product, it did not temporarily switch to the 2D wireframe style, but instead would default to the Conceptual style, which would increase the model’s generation time. In these cases, the software would erroneously register the Conceptual style as the 2D Wireframe style.
- This issue has been resolved. The visual style in BSB should properly revert to 2D wireframe by default when regenerating models.
SMA Autosave Fix
- An issue was reportedly occurring when autosaving during the Solid Model Analyzation process. If one analyzes a solid during the SMA process, the option to save the drawing before analysis is always prompted. When accepted, the solid should be saved to the current DWG room that is currently open. It was found to be the case for some users, however, that if autosave was enabled, the solid would instead be saved to a new temporary file rather than the correct DWG. This would lead to issues with file organization.
- This issue has been resolved- autosaves during solid analysis (or any other time) should now be saved to the correct DWG file.

- An issue has reportedly been occurring with the process of opening products created in BSB in Toolbox AC/OEM. When some users created a product in Toolbox BSB and proceeded to save the drawing, then re-open it in Toolbox AC/OEM, the software would experience an error when attempting to modify the Part Properties of the product. This issue has been resolved. Products created in BSB should be capable of being opened in current and future AC/OEM builds. The same issue may still occur in older builds, an issue which is planned to be addressed in a future update.
Configuration Fix
- When managing configurations and attempting to add a new configuration in Toolbox BSB, certain users experienced an unhandled exception error. This issue was found to be experienced by users who had Toolbox BSB installed, but no other Microvellum software installed on their device, as the software was scanning for other installations so it could create identical configuration conditions. A coding change has been applied to resolve this issue, and users should be able to create configurations without error.
