- Inside and outside radius parameters for the angled polyline cut.
- Prompt layout has been changed and will most likely continue to be refined in the next update as we gather additional feedback.
Modifications
- Modified the rear notch on the Front Stretchers to match the Rear Stretchers. The notch will now look at "G!Dado_Small_Part_Notch_Distance_To_Rear_Edge".
- Replaced many M2U functions throughout the library with UCN to prevent undesirable default imperial values from appearing. For example, instead of “=M2U(1,Accuracy)" which results in “0.03937” inches, we now use “=UCN(0.0312,1)” or “=UCN(0.0625,1)” which provides fractional values (1/32” or 1/16”) more commonly used by imperial users.
These changes will not affect metric users. However, for imperial users, some default variables might change slightly in new library installs. M2U values that match specific hardware specifications have not been changed.*
- Changed how the globals “Back Width Adjustment” & “Back Height Adjustment” behave when they are both used together with Full Applied backs. The back sizes will adjust, however the X & Z origins will remain flush with the left side and bottom of cabinet. This will prevent any associative screw hole machining issues.
- All drawers updated to use "G!Drawer_Bottom_Hole_Depth" for the Bottom Hole Depth instead of a fixed value.
- Wood Drawers now use "G!Drawer_Box_Dowel_Target_Spacing" instead of "VLOOKUP(PARTMACHINEY(),G!LookupTableTargetSpacingDowels,2,TRUE)"
- Default value for "G!Drawer_Box_Dowel_Target_Spacing" changed to "UCN(3.7795,96)"
- For Solid Wood Drawer fronts, Stiles and Rails will now be the same width by default.*
Resolutions General
- Resolved the Solid Wood Door "Add Finish Label" prompt to match Finished Faces subassembly. The prompt will now correctly display one label per product when global “Finish Label Condition” = “Product”.
- Resolved an issue with all Finished Face/MV Profile Door/Solid Wood Door subassemblies referencing an incorrect column in the Door Wizard "D!LookUpTableDoorStyle" table. Various parameters such as “Default Top Rail Width” will now correctly reference the Door columns when it’s a door and the Drawer columns when it’s a drawer front.*
- Resolved an issue with the Hettich WingLine Guide hardware graphics. Should no longer cause issues with the Flatshot feature.
- Added a 140mm option to the Hafele Alto drawer system for the NZ region.
- Resolved a Hinge Plate issue for right hand doors in corner diagonal cabinets.
- Resolved an issue with Base Under Counter Oven product that was affecting the bottom Facia.
- For Solid Wood Drawer fronts, corrected "Use Single Solid Wood Front SA" so it will not reference the Min Door Height (column 13) when it's a drawer front.
- Resolved an issue in certain subassembly insert components that were incorrectly displaying Fixed Shelf Qty prompts when bay 2 was set to Adj Shelf.
- Resolved a machining issue in all Corner Cabinet’s right-side backs. Dado tokens were missing a value for parameter 5 Dado Thickness. This seemed to only affect users using a Saw.
- Resolved an issue when using Buyout Doors. Default buyout material used is no longer zero thickness.
Additions/Resolutions Face Frame Cabinetry
- Added the option for Interior Components to reference Frame Opening vs Box Opening. When selected, certain interior inserts will reference the Face Frame Opening Height instead of the Interior Cabinet Height, allowing them to be centered in the frame opening.
Resolutions Office Furniture
- Resolved an issue within some Office Drawer Cabinets.

Year of 2023
This section lists all of the Foundation Library builds that released in the year of 2023.
Microvellum Foundation Library Release Notes | Build 23.1114
The following release notes apply to Microvellum Foundation Library, Build 23.1114
Special Note #1: Highly recommend updating Toolbox to build 23.1.1010 or newer as this library update zip includes new features only available to users running this TB version (or newer). Previous versions will not import categorized materials now included with the update.
Special Note #2: This update includes a potential
Breaking Change involving drawer runners for wooden drawers. This will only affect users who are updating vs installing a new library. The factory LookUpTable “LookUpTableSystemDrawerSlide” has been refactored to better accommodate undermount drawer runners. This also addresses issues when users are using varying material thicknesses for their drawers such as 12mm, 16mm, and 18mm. Any custom wood drawer subassemblies OR current existing projects will need their wood drawers updated to avoid errors. Any customizations users have made to this table will need to be restored.
Check under the Modifications section for more information on the new global variable created to circumventing this change.

Modifications
- Note for updating users only: To prevent issues with existing projects, we have added a global variable called “Use Legacy Wood Drawers” that can toggle between the legacy behavior and the updated behavior. If your project contains older versioned wood drawers, this variable can be selected to prevent issues. If you are running updated v23.1114 wood drawers and want the new functionality, uncheck this global.
- The factory LookUpTable “LookUpTableSystemDrawerSlide” has been refactored to better accommodate undermount drawer runners. This also addresses issues when users are using varying material thicknesses for their drawers such as 12mm, 16mm, and 18mm. Any custom wood drawer subassemblies OR current existing projects will need their wood drawers updated to avoid errors. Any customizations users have made to this table will need to be restored. See the Note for updating users only modification above or Special Note #2 above for more information.
- Updated the sample kitchen island product group that ships with new library installs. We have also added some bar stools.
- Base 2 Drawer Waste Bin product is now linked to the global "G!Default_Double_Waste_Bin_Pullout" to set an appropriate default waste bin.

Additions
- Added a new subassembly called Decorative Routing which can be added to any product to produce parametric decorative routing to any face. To demonstrate, this has been added to the Valance product and the Box End product.
- Added a generic 2D Leg Leveler section drawing to represent leg levelers in 2D cabinet sections. Updated the hardware drawing “Leg Leveler Section.dwg” to match your desired leg leveler.
- Added new global variable “Cabinet Depth Includes Door”, located inside the User Preferences category. Select the checkbox to include the Finished Face (Door) thickness and the Door to Cabinet Gap as the product depth for open cabinets. Otherwise, the Depth of all cabinets will only be the carcass box.
Added a new subassembly, 2D Instructions, to facilitate a new location for storing 2D draw tokens (see Modifications below).
Modifications
- Moved the location of all 2D Plan view, Elev view, Cross Section, Elev Section, & Plan Section draw tokens for most regular Frameless cabinets. They are now inside a single new subassembly called 2D Instructions. At this time, the Corner, Angle, Closet, Face Frame, & other specialty products remain unchanged.
The reason the location of the draw tokens was moved is to encourage users to customize their own 2D text, dimensioning, and other annotations. After this update, users can exclude updating the “2D Instructions” subassembly, preventing their customizations from being overwritten.
- The default Depth value of all open cabinet products will no longer include the door thickness & gap. Select the new global option “Cabinet Depth Includes Door” to revert to the previous behavior.
- Selecting "Screw Construction" for Nailers will automatically switch to "Dowel Construction" at Finished Ends.
Resolutions
- Resolved origin issues in certain cabinets when the finished end was a different thickness than the unfinished end. This occurred in double drawer & blind corner with drawer cabinet products.
- Resolved issue in the Internal Drawers With Faces subassembly. Drawer Depths will now calculate correctly.

- 2D Cross Section drawing of Countertops will now follow the parametric depth of the cabinet product instead of a global depth value.
- Resolved a Fixed Shelf Dado thickness issue inside the Vertical Splitter subassembly.
