This article focuses on the Date Format tab of the Text Formatting window.
Any time a date is used within a text component of your report, the Date Format should be utilized. The Date Format is selected form a set of specified formats – a long format, a short format, etc. In the applied format, except the ones with an asterisk (*), the order of elements does not change. For example, the report contains a list of products and OrderDate, RequiredDate, ShippedDate.

By default, the date and time are displayed when the Date Format mask is applied to a text component. Different Date Format masks can be applied to the data columns above. Select the text component, open the Text Format window, navigate to the Date tab, and select the appropriate type.
