To edit the properties of a part, first select subassembly in the list, right-click on it and select “Show Properties.” Then select a part from the parts list.
When the Part Size tab is active, you will be allowed to edit the Part Name, Quantity, Width, Length, Perfect Grain Info, *Material Name, Comments, Grain (override), and Map Part. You can also edit the edgebanding for each part edge, and select whether routes will be allowed to be included in the border operation or not.
Perfect Grain Info can be edited to allow a manual grouping of parts to be perfect grained. For example, if doors/drawer fronts need to be perfect grained across multiple cabinets, you can create a group of parts by entering “#1” for all the parts for the first group (enter “#2,” “#3,” etc. for each additional group).
The part’s grain direction can be overridden by selecting an option from the Grain list. “None” will remove all grain instructions from the part. “Force Length” will allow you to force the grain to run along the length of the part. “Force Width” will allow you to force the grain to run along the width of the part.
When the Origin + Rotation tab is selected, you will be allowed to edit the Base Point, Machine Point, if the part is mirrored or not, the X, Y, and Z origins, and the X, Y, and Z rotations. The Preview Window provides a visual reference for the part’s rotations, base point, and machine point.
When the Drawing Tokens tab is selected, you will be allowed to edit the 3D Draw Token, 2D Elevation Token, and add parameters for other drawing instructions.
Drawing tokens will include the type of instruction (DRAW3DBOX, DRAW2DBOX, etc.) and the AutoCAD layer name to be used. For example: DRAW3DBOX CabinetInterior = DRAW3DBOX is the drawing instruction, and CabinetInterior is the layer name.
The parameters are used for some of the other drawing instructions. For instance, when using the DRAWBLOCK instruction, the parameters are used for providing a directory path and the file of the block to be used.
When the Machining Tokens tab is selected, you will be able to edit, add, or remove machining tokens for the selected part. Below the machine token list are the parameters that pertain to the chosen machine tokens. Some machine tokens can include up to nine parameters.
