machining token in visualisation
I think it would be a great addition if the part visualisation in the origin section could show the machinig token. We would be able to see how the different origins and point affect our machining in real time. like in the image attached,. this is a corner base shelf but it does not show the corner notch.
Perfect Grain For Horizontal Grain
We are starting to see more horizontal grain cabinets specified, I'm wondering how other shops are dealing with horizontal grain-matching? We are sending all our doors & drawer fronts to a nesting router so on the few small projects I've had I have manually aligned the parts. This process is time consuming and doesn't work great when there is a drawer base next to a door cabinet because due to the router bit diameter it is impossible to lineup parts. I would send the parts to our beam saw but MV
How likely would it be to get "DRAWWIPEOUT" added to the 2d drawing token options?
I'll cross my fingers for it anyway. Being able to utilize wipeout in MV generated drawings would be fantastic. Also "DRAWARRAY" could be fun too, but if i had to pick between the two, my vote's on DRAWWIPEOUT (that could hopefully receive hatching as well, though not absolutely necessary)
How to restore deleted room
Hi someone, I am in urgent need to restore a room that I accidentally deleted. It is still in the microvellum factory database but I have no idea how to bring it back to the project. Is there any possible way? Please help me, and thank you very much.
Formulated Hardware
Hello, I'm trying to add handle hardware that changes size according to Cabinet Width. The formula so far is =IF(L!Width>450,"Enko_110_320mm.dwg","Enko_110_224mm.dwg" in the Hardware association. It changes the hardware in the material file depending on what cabinet I've been in last but doesn't change each cabinet automatically. Has anyone achieved this or tried? Thank you.

Unhandled exception
Can anyone interpret this unhandled exception error, or give me a general idea of what may be going on? I'm trying to draw a Wall Paneling product in 2D. Toolbox OEM 2020. This is just a curiosity thing. I can work around it, so I don't feel like a help ticket is warranted. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Exception: eInvalidInput exception at ᜏ FileName = ម Line: 0 Column: 0 at .ᜀ(Exception A_0) at ម.ᜏ(Int32 A_0, String A_1, Boolean A_2) at ើ.ᜀ( A_0, objGenericToken

Is anyone else having problems where toolbox freezes when using SMA?
Is anyone else having problems where toolbox freezes when using SMA? We have found that when we are trying the use SMA (solid model analyzer) to analyze 3D parts that toolbox will freeze if the parts are not drawn exactly to a 1/16 or possibly a 1/32 of an inch. If the parts are .04015 or any other odd decimal point it seems like the program has issues analyzing and creating the 3D product. What’s odd is that the product is created in the product list and all the parts are there. But if
Make all router tools designed as the Incremental Step tool?
This would make perfect sense to me. What am I missing? If there was a "Max Cut Depth Per Pass" and "Max Total Cut Depth" for each tool, then you would never have to make Multiple step tools, or multipass tools (providing only 1 tool number is involved). MV would always add passes as needed for thickness. The Vectric programs are set up that way, and I haven't run into any problems because of it. There must be a reason so if anybody knows what I'm overlooking, please tell me?
Rollout Cutout Prompts, what is the "Rollout Cutout IA"
I'm attempting to adjust the rollout drawer front scoop cut so it doesn't come down so far. Currently it looks like a semicircle with transitions. Below is a 2d version of what the stock variables are producing with Rollout Cutout Radius of 2" and Rollout Cutout Transition Radius set to 0.5" Here's what I'm hoping to accomplish Has anyone ever adjusted these variables. And what does the IA stand for in Rollout Cutout IA? Any help on this would be much appreciated. Have a good one. Jeremiah
Radio Button Problem
Hi Everyone, Have run into an issue in regards to a radio button setup, I've tried everything I can think of. Hoping someone has had a similar issue and can give me an answer.
Why is there a field for sheet quantity if it doesn't tell you when you have exceeded inventory?
This has always been a question for me. Why even have a field for number of sheets if there is no functionality that uses it? Or is this one of those issues where, if you buy another module, it can be made to work? I hope not. Theoretically, one would think that the field is there so you can input your inventory, and at least be notified when you run out, or, even better, be given the opportunity to use another sheet size if you run out of the ideal size. Does anybody know if MV has ever, or
Subassembly File Size
I have a subassembly file that takes a while to load and I am trying to figure out why. I exported it to the my hard drive and I found it to be nearly 1MB compared to other subassembly files which are 80-100 kB. I was wondering what makes the file size so large, and how can I compress it? Thanks, Chris Ramos

Viewport scale is not working properly
I have been trying to scale my drawings and its not working properly at all. No matter what scale I try to use. Usually in AutoCAD, we use the scale 1:20 for the final drawings. But when I do it in microvellum, the drawings just blow up. Is there any way I can fix this issue? Or is scaling drawings properly in viewport just not a part of the microvellum program?
Need formula help
My Global "Max Drawer Depth" is currently : =IF(W!Standard_Wood_Drawer_Slide_Selection="Blum Tandem Undermount Full Extension",21,20) But I just added Grass Dynapro 16's and Grass Dynapro 19's to my drawer slides, and we currently use those 2 types. How can I change the formula to reference the Dynapro's instead of the Blum Tandem Undermount? Better yet, can it look for any of the three and return 21, otherwise 20?
Grass Dynapro
Just wondering if anyone uses Grass Dynapro 16's and Grass Dynapro 19's. If so, is there a drw guide in MV that works, or did you add the Grass Dynapro 19. We found we can interchange Blum Tandem Undermount with Grass Dynapro 16's, but the Dynapro 19's are different and use a different formula for sizing the drawer box. Any helpful input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Work order problem
Hi, when i go to do a work order for my jobs it tells me i don't have any products in the jobs. but when i go check my product list its all there. what could be wrong?
This new venue has a drawback
In the old venue you could comment on an article from the knowledge databse, but in the new one you cannot. I just tried to follow an article called "Adding a Drawer Slide" and I couldn't get it to work because the article failed to mention that, if your library is older than 50, it will not automatically add the new drawer slide to the list in the project wizard and in the drw box tab of the cabinet prompts. Fortunately, via a help ticket, I discovered you can add it manually to the "List Drawer

Configuration Manager
At times it would be nice to have all the configuration information in one place, besides the registry. There are times when I am working, testing and trying different things between different databases on different servers and I find that at the moment the quickest is to work in the registry as I don't have to open and then reopen Acad/Mv as often. If there were a "configuration manager" it would be nice. Just sayin'

Removing Border Rout From Nest
I am trying to figure out the best way to remove the border route for parts going to the nested router. I just finished a project with 16 head-wall panels, all the same size but with each having about a dozen unique cutouts for electrical, med gas etc, no two panels were the same. Normally all our parts are nested at the router but because of the proximity of the cutouts to the panel edges I needed to cut the panels to size, edgeband, then machine the cutouts on the router. I accomplished this by

How do I change a product name based on whether a checkbox in the product prompts is checked?
I am adding a checkbox prompt called Island Base in all base cabinets. If it is checked, the bottom is made to equal the cabinet width, the bottom x origin is moved left by the amount of the side thickness, the sides height are reduced by the bottom thickness, and the sides z origin is increased by the bottom thickness. I would also like to append the product name with the word "Island". What kind of formula do I need, and where do I need to put it?
Print text and dimensions added to composite (nested) drawings on Nested Optimization Report
We find it necessary to add additional text to the composite drawings for operators and fabricators for misc parts; wall paneling, diewall ribs, plates, etc. Currently the Report will not show any of the newly added information and each view has to be plotted. It would be a huge time saver if there was a layer that we could add the required information to and print on the Nested Optimization Report!
Sawing optimizer optimizing each part on separate sheet.
After processing, somehow the sawing optimizer is optimizing each part on a separate sheet and giving me extra sheets than actually needed. For example, I have two doors in a product and optimizer is giving me those two doors on two separate sheets.

Re-opening solved tickets
Does anyone know how to reopen a ticked that was solved, but the problem reoccurred? I can't seem to figure out how to do it on this new support site. I asked a MV agent over the phone but he wasn't sure either. I knew how to do it on the old site. Replying to it doesn't seem to do anything, the status remains "solved" and I'm not sure if anyone is seeing the replies.
Accessing Database Explorer
Is there a way to access Database Explorer outside of Toolbox, or to direct it to load/explore a database other than the one currently loaded? Specifically, we are running library 44.1, but I also have library 50.5 installed as a separate database configuration to poke around and see some of the updates. Sometimes I want to take some of those items from 50.5 and modify them to use with 44.1, but to have to shut down Toolbox every time I want to switch which database Database Explorer accesses is
Creating New Machining G-Code from Drawing in Single Part Editor
When I try to create a new machining G-Code from a drawing for a new work order, the first batch always gets an error saying "The path is not valid. Check the directory for the database...'". I click "OK" to the error message. The same error message pops up a couple of more times after clicking "OK" again. After 3 tries, it says the process is complete. Before processing, I checked for the work order folder and it has been created. When I try process it again afterwards, it works fine. All subsequent
Cut Part width and length different in label than in Nesting Optimization Report
We have an edgebander with premil, and we are trying to get setup with as much precision as possible so the cut size incorporates the banding thickness and the premill amount. While doing that, I used decimal units to get as much precision as possible. I notice the reported cut size on the label doesn't match the reported cut size on the Nesting Optimization report. I tried to go into report designer and figure out why there is such a difference, but that's pretty advanced for me and I was unable
Library Designer Product Selection Feature
It would be nice if the Library Designer would allow you to: 1) Check or Un-check a box in the Libraries Affected with a single, opposed to the click to selected product + click to check or un-check box. 2) To Check or Un-check all boxes in the Libraries Affected. Example: In the Products Using This Item window.
Machining Updates
Today I am editing G-Code, again. We have a project with thousands of 1.5" holes is 1.5" hardwood. What I am doing is programming this with a step cut, first at .75 and then at -0.0050. The issue is that Microvellum has never figured out how to ramp from the first to second cut. No we have to raise the tool and start over for the second cut, this is a huge time waste. So I edit the code, it's actually pretty easy, to ramp from the first to second cut. I have been doing this for years all the
