shelf pin sockets
Anyone use shelf pin sockets in their cabinets? I have a client that is insistent on them. I have no problem changing the size of the boring to the socket but what I need is a count of the sockets to order. Right now I only get a count of the pins (4 per shelf) but every hole will require a socket. Could I get a count of the linebores and use that? Thanks! Pete.
How to save recovery file over room
MV crashed and I was able to bring up the recovery file which is great. I need to save the recovery file to the room I am working in but it is not allowing me to overwrite the current toolbox DWG. How do I go about doing this?
Miter
Can a offline miter be set up with scribe? and if so how? Right now I only see Miter offline as a check box in the Machining Tab of the Spec Group Global Files. But our shop setup requires a set scribe size
Parameter 7 In Dado Machine Token
In this Parameter we are supposed to be able to enter two different tool numbers separated by a pipe ,This function has never worked for us, we have submitted tickets and we were told by the microvellum rep that he has put at tracker in to get this fixed. This was nearly three months ago, we would like to use the Au Premium Library 20.1.2 as this uses the enhanced machine tokens. Glitch of Library V50.6?
HI, I found out an issue in the new library V50.6 Product Starter Horizontal: When i use full top , the top would set back from the edge of cabinet by a thickness of the material. It seems like it accounts for a finger pull rail even though it is not selected. I tried it out in Library V49.1 without this issue. So just want to point it out.
How can I change the product description that shows up in the Work Order Summary
I made a new product called Modesty Panel from a Base Scribe Filler. I removed the unneeded prompts and changed the formulas that referenced them (or deleted those parts as not needed) and all works fine. I changed the product description in the cabinet prompts, but the work order summary still shows it as a Base Scribe Filler. How can I fix that?
Need help understanding a simple formula
This formula is for the height of a base filler. I unchecked "knotch for toe kick" and added .5 for scribe to floor. =IF(Notch_For_Toe_Kick=1,Height-Toe_Kick_Height,IF(Filler_To_Floor=1,Height+Scribe_To_Floor,Height-Toe_Kick_Height)) The height is 28.5". I've been building a simple slatted canopy that gets dowels machined into it to accept the cross members and the grain for those slats are horizontal. Adding Drawer Track and Bay Locations to the "Drawer Box List Report"

Seperating Jobs on a report and creating a single part line item for output
We have a report that was created / modified early on in when we were in training with Microvelllum to output items that we cut “Off line” These are “stock” materials like rear cabinet nailers, toe kicks, Drawer box parts, that we can grab and cut quicker and have better optimization by hand than on a Nested or P2P machine. When combining several projects together the doors get placed on top of each other. I think this has to do with the grain identifier number which uses the item number as a unique code. However, when running several projects together that have the same material and similar products it can very easily have the same sized products with the same unique number. 2D Part Layers
Can someone tell me where or how these layers are generated from in the 2D Parts editor? When you first add the machining, The machining is on the layer "ROUTE_Z0PXXXXXX". But once you save that part it adds the word RAMP at the end. I think this is normal but why is this? One of my PMs, has a problem that when he programs a part in MV it does not come over correctly in WoodWop. When we open the part in WoodWop, it's coming in with the "Tangential" approach. It needs to come over with the "Vertical"
Multi Select Projects to Move / Delete / Change Status or Use Windows Explorer
In the current setup if you need to move, delete, or change status of several projects, it needs to be done one at a time. Using Database Management can help with deleting but only if you export it first. My suggestion is to have either a multi-select option or at least having ctrl / shift work to select multiple projects. Alternatively having a windows explorer location where creating new folders / modifying location / deleting projects would reflect in MV's Projects list.
Setting up Multi pass for pocketing shaker doors
We are wanting to set our pocketing tool up as a multipass tool to mainly improve the quality of the surface when straight off the CNC. The idea is to do the main pocket and then have a second pass to remove 0.5mm to clean the board with a 5mm offset We thought we had the tool file correct but are unable to get it to assign the multipass tool when processing the doors
Ardis grain errors
Has anyone had issues with Microvellum not sending Ardis all the grain information? I have found that grain info is missing on drawer sides. The front and back are fine but no grain direction on the sides so we have to find the sides and set the grain or we get cross grain drawer box sides. Got any ideas?

Hello, I have a project from last year that I want to add cabinets to and I want my latest library changes to be part of this addition. How do I go about changing that project's specification groups with the latest library data. I understand that this type of change only affects drawings going forward and not what was drawn prior. How to adjust the Side Mount Runner Slide Gap?

How can I copy a part from the clipboard of an older library into the clipboard of a newer one?
Somehow my base carcass lost it's intermediate stretcher. I have an older catalog (#35) that has that part, so I saved it to the clipboard. Can I use database explorer to copy that part from the clipboard of the 35 catalog into the clipboard of the 44.1 catalog that I currently use? Then I can paste it into a base cabinet and save the carcass subassembly to the library. Does anybody have any ideas about this?
