Custom Pulls for a kitchen
A designer wants a certain pull in various sizes throughout a kitchen. I am very new to MV and I am becoming stumped on adding these as a hardware item and it showing up in drawings and machining. I have copied other hardware pulls and changed the dimensions to the ones I need but I am not getting anything. As soon as I change the hardware to a stock MV pull it shows up fine. When creating new hardware, do you have to physically draw it in AUTOCAD and add 2d, 3d, and machine tokens? See images below,
New layer color from spreasheet
Is there a way to set a new layer color from the spreadsheet with the new updates? In the previous version, we just had to add *150 to the layer name in the layer box to create a new layer with the desired color. Ex. DRAW3DBOX TEMPERED GLASS*150 In the new updates it doesn't seems to work.
Rotating Parts in Nest Only Has 2 Directions
When rotating parts in the Composite if the piece in question contains machining it can only be rotated at o and 90 degrees. It doesn't keep rotating to 180 and 270 degrees.
Utility to Delete EventLogs from SQL Data
With MV Tech's help we isolated the EventLogs data as the culprit swelling our SQL database so large we couldn't run the Transfer Table command. Using a SQL Mgmt Studio we Query "delete from EventLogs", Shrink the Data and we're good to go again. Even with about 9 months worth of work in the production database the dbase size is under 2gb. The EventLog had swollen to over 4gb and made creating a CE version for remote use impossible. It would be very helpful to include a Utility in Database Mgmt

I need to add a new piece of hardware to my hardware library for a specific project and be able to get pricing that shows up on the Material Costing Report. I have no Idea how to go about this or where to start. Is there any documentation for this somewhere? Any help would appreciated.
Parts Label cut and finish size error
We are just starting to use labels in the shop and I noticed that the cut size and finish size are not showing up. Any ideas why this might be happening. Thanks
Printing 2 Blank Labels Between Cutlist Numbers
We have recently switched our labels to a 4x1 Roll Feed. We want to be able to print the labels ahead of time for the shop, so when they are cutting on the saw, they can easily have the labels ready to put on the parts. However, it would make it easier for them to have the labels separated by CutList numbers (CPOUTName). So we would like to be able to print all the labels while printing 2 blank labels in between the CutList numbers so it is easier for them to find where the CutList starts and ends.
Export Project Sharing Violation
We're currently running OEM v20.1.617, lib 46.2 mm. I regularly export & delete my library dev project from the production server so I can import the latest revisions from the Sandbox. The last three times I've done this my first Export & Delete attempt throws up an error window re: a Sharing Violation as if the project or drawing were in use. Add Handling Code field to Work Order database
We would like to be able to view the Handling Code field in the work order database window. This would allow us to correct any issues before processing. Homag's material handling system cannot accept space characters.

Vector Location Formula Syntax
Hello, I am trying to modify a vector location formula and can't get the syntax correct. I have a custom countertop product that routes a scribe relief along the back edge of a 1-1/8 sub material. My problem is that this route remains constant no matter if finished right end or finished left end is selected the route continues to be +/- 0.25 the product length. I am trying to add IF statements for starting and ending the route 2 inches inside of the finished ends. Manipulate secction dim style and call out?
The sections generated by Microvellum do not match what we submit . How do I change the dimstyle of the sections? I would also like to change the section detail block to the one we use to submit drawings. At this point when sections are generated we have to go back and change dimstyles for all section dimensions and replace all section detail callouts. In the photo attached the smaller dim is what I need and the larger one is what is generated through microvellum. The larger detail is what I need

Dado machining token: Option to control direction of tongue routing
We are using thick backs with lock dados. The DADO machining tokens for the top, bottom, left and right have a parameter(9) named Tongue Tool Number. This allows a tool to be assigned to the routings that produce the tongue. Unfortunately, the resulting routings have left hand tool compensation and there is no option to change them to right hand compensation. The primary reason why this would be useful is dimensional accuracy. The back has the best chance of matching the size of the top and bottom
Optimization Option
I think an option for optimizing from "Largest to Smallest" would be an option to add. It would be a little different to "Best Yield" in that: 1- The First part with largest area would be placed first 2- Second part with next largest area would be placed if it fits, if not skipped untill largest part that fits in available space found. 3- then go back to the largest available part and continues. This would avoid a lot of my last sheets having large parts and lots of waste. None of the options in
Perfect Graining
When we have perfect graining turned on and have the "Split Double Width Cabinets" click on to help save material in the optimization, the single drawer with 2 doors stays grained matched, but our sink cabinet with 2 doors 1 false front gets broken apart and doesn't grain match anymore. If we unclick "Split Double Width Cabinets", the sink cabinet parts stay grain matched, but our optimization isn't as good. I would think if the single drawer 2 door cabinet stays grain matched, so would the sink
Section Drawings as Blocks
I recently updated my version of MV and my section views are now being generated as a block. When I explode the block to adjust dimensions, add hardware, ect, the dimensions, associated hatching, and every other component break down into individual lines. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Mirror Room?
What are you guys doing to Mirror a room? I know others are running into this, say on a typical and similar kitchens, exam rooms, etc. I notice that there is no mirror room, only mirror product. once and a while I use it and it works right, other times the results are funky. But, that could have been old versions. I just tried it in the latest beta and it failed. I'm not sure if it only worked on 2D drawings?
.IFC Export from toolbox
Goooood morning MV Team, I am running into the need more and more to export our 3d models to .IFC format. working with the BIM environment. our Clients are pressing really hard on BIM these days and understandably I get it. however tool box OEM 2020 does not have the option to export to .IFC. can we please get this feature added to 2020 asap. hot fix next build, today tomorrow, which ever comes first please. haha. the work flow is: we take their Revit model, pull out of it the main floor plans

Import and Export Projects
I was working for 7 years in a company using microvellum and the last 2 years I bought my own license to work at home for the same company. During the 2 years I import and export a lot of projects, submittal for hospitals, schools, commercials case work, red line, 3d in AutoCAD and using solid analyzer for receptions, etc. and I never, never get any problem. What product allows pocket door hardware to be used?
I see that the library already has Accuride pocket door hardware set up for 1321 series. We are not seeing a prompt or a product that uses pocket doors? Before we can decide if 1321 series will work for us or if we need to add an additional slide, we need to know how to activate/use this hardware.
Issue with machine token not working on product
I am having an issue with a partition/divider for a vanity. The single division is supposed to be dado into carcass bottom and top stretchers with a 1.5" set back and that is not happening. I created this vanity using a starter product and saved it to our library previously and that machined fine on our CNC. Now that we ran this again it is not associating the set back and dado. I drew a new product starter and that is working as normal so I compared the machining tokens in part properties and they
Perfect Grain
When setting up a bank of drawers with perfect grain in say a bank of 4 drawers, #1 drawer is in #2 position, #3 & #4 are perfect.
MV product layer colours
Does anyone know how to change the colours & line types of MV products in the 3D view? eg: doors, shelves etc... I know how to do it in each room with AutoCAD layers. But I want to customise the products and save them back with those line types and colours, so they draw in as such on every new project/room. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm sure it's something really simple I'm missing... Cheers!

Ridiculously increasing file sizes in OEM builds 20.1.XXXX
Anybody else experiencing extremely large file sizes on any Toolbox OEM builds 20.1 .XXXX? I have a support ticket for this, but I can't believe it hasn't been addressed yet..,, Which makes me wonder about other users' experience... How I've been testing this is... I will open a new drawing, draw in one 3D product and save the drawing and record the file size. Then I wall redraw that product once and save the drawing again. Just that single redraw will increase the file size by about 2000KB.
Saw Groove Width
We currently us the Saw Tool for all of our 1/4" back machining, except upper sidewalls, these are done with a 1/4" router bit. The two widths vary a little and I'd like to increase the width of the Saw Groove but can't locate where to do this at.
Cutrite PTX
When Microvellum generates the ptx file for Cutrite it brings in the required information to process the job. I want to know if I am the only one with the following issue or not. We print labels that contain all the information we need for the part including the width and length. On grained material we use width and length to determine how the grain runs. We start with the sheet 4' x 8' this tells us the grain runs along the 8' length. If I see a label that says 12 x 36 I know that the grain runs
Work order editor is missing key features
The new work order editor feature could be quite useful but is currently mostly unusable since it wont let you change part sizes or material thickness, you can change the quantities and sizes of materials but not thickness for some reason.... This would have saved me a couple hours of re doing work because a sheet thickness changed and now I have to reprocess everything for the job.
how to show tool tip and single click button selection in control panel?
My microvellum control panel does not show tool tips when hovering over a button . Also some thing has changed , or I mistakenly changed it , but now I have to double click the buttons to select a action like product prompts. I seem to remember it was a single click before .

Machining for file bars
For our file drawers, we run small routes in the front & back of the drawer that holds the file bar in place. We currently have a parametric program we use in WoodWop but how can I incorporate this to automatically populate in MV when a File Drawer is selected? Is it tons of work to make this happen?
VLOOKUP Table for Material Thickness
I'm trying to create a Floating Shelf Product that I saw Tim Scholman make in one of the Microvellum Live Episodes, "Engineering Parametric Products". I'm having trouble finding a VLOOKUP Table he's using for "Material Thickness". i've attached snapshots of his product and mine. Do I need to create this?
Undock Microvellum Toolbox
How do you undock the tool box. I have been using the toolbox on the right hand side. It has recently moved itself to the left . Came in this morning and it kicked me out of the library I was using over the weekend some how. Now the toolbox is on the left . I right click on the shaded microvellum section above the tool box and it says allow docking but its not clickable. I cannot make the tool box wider or narrow either. I would like to move the tool box back to the right hand side.
Drawer Slides with more than 5 holes
Library 44.1 We have some KV 8908 32" drawer slides that we need to use for a project. It has (7) drawer slide holes that need to be machined into the carcass. I've added the slides as normal and everything is working, with the exception that there are only (5) holes being drilled. I'm guessing this is because the G!LookUpTableSystemDrawerSlide look up table only has columns for the first through fifth slide holes. So my question is, can I add two more columns to the look up table, between columns
