Draw 2D Wall Plan View walls not connected error
I'm trying to drawing a 2D plan view with 3 walls created from a polyline and MV is telling me that the walls are not connected/ Where is the option to conenct these walls so I can create my 2D plan view? Thanks!
Shop Drawings & Production Drawings
Currently, we submit all of our Millwork Shop Drawings on 8 1/2 x 11, which has work for us for years and still does. I'm in the process of revamping our submittal process and now that almost everything we submit is entirely digital, I'd like to set up for 11 x 17. The problem is that my production paperwork is set up for, and prefers, 8 1/2 x 11. I'm sure there's a way to do all of our Shop Drawings at 11 x 17, and be able to easily print these out at 8 1/2 x 11 for our Production Sets, but not
EQ formulas change to hard numbers
I've noticed that the origins of parts driven from EQ formulas change to a hard number when accessing the Origin + Rotation tab of The Part Properties of a product. For example, when I go to the Origin + Rotation tab of a Nailer, the Z origin of the part changes to the hard number of "0". I can see the EQ2 formula flash briefly in the cell, but it quickly flashes to a 0.
Angle for back of cabinet in bay window
Curious to know how to angle a cabinet in the back instead of the front. I have tried messing with transition cabinets but it seems it will only do the fronts. See the attachment of the bay window and I have drawn lines of where the cabinets need to go.
Batch wise Manufacturing reports
Can we have batch-wise manufacturing reports after processing one project in different batches? Or do I have to create a separate work order summary each time if I want to processed one big project in batches.
Draw Invisible Wall
Is there a way to draw an "invisible wall" like in v67? Sometimes I need to drop cabinets in an open area where there are not walls. In v67, it would just draw a line as a reference to drop the cabinets. In the newer version, you cannot draw a wall with no thickness. There will always be a wall drawn. I know you can turn off the AutoCAD layer that the walls are drawn in, but it would be nice if you did not have to turn on and off layers.
Is anybody besides me experiencing 10 times longer to open and save a drawing with the 20.1.617.641 build using OEM2020?
One of the nice, new features of this upgrade was supposed to be faster times for loading and saving drawings. I have experienced just the opposite. I'm talking around 10 times slower for both. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just my copy?

Allow Color Label to be based on Toekick height + Color Label Size. Currently you have to manual change each location if you have something other than a 4" base
Anybody had success outsourcing Submittals?
I have seen a few plugs for outsourced MV drawing services. Send Toolfile, Library, Template, etc receive back drawings that look like yours! Products ready to process! I'm a realist though and it sounds too easy. We can see a possibility of needing to outsource a few drawings soon, and would be interested in giving this method a shot. Just wondered if anybody could give reviews. Thanks in advance.
Product Label Image
How can I edit the image that is produced on a product label? I can't even find where they are located. I know they are generic images that pertain to a product no matter its size or makeup so i figure there should be a folder full of them somewhere. Does anybody know where they are located?
Overdrive Pro
I would like the option or the ability to opt out of having OverDrive Pro. Why? Because some users constantly try and rely on it for everything rather than use edit product data or part properties. It's either a case of old habits die hard or not wanting to move forwards, either way it's a crutch that I would like the ability to remove thus making users move forward and learn and use other tools.
changing material across multiple spec groups
Hi, I have a customer that wants to change all shelves from 19mm melamine to 16mm melamine. Is there an easy way to do this across multiple spec groups or do I have to open each material file and change it individually? Thanks, Pete.
Face 6 and face 5 Routing

Edges not showing in part properties
When you open part properties & select a piece, then an edge and click "show this edge" it highlights said edge in red on your 3D product. However this doesn't work sometimes most of the time. You have to close part properties, redraw the product, & even change the angle you're looking at it from sometimes then try again. Sometimes this doesn't even work, we find ourselves often closing down MV completely, reopening it, loading the project & the room again, just to get the function working properly.
Turning a base cabinet into a upper cabinet
Hi guys I am working on turning a base drawer cabinet into a wall hung vanity for the library and was wondering if anyone knew how to apply the height above floor prompt to a base cabinet - I can't really work out how an upper cabinet gets drawn at that height.. I guess I'm asking where I can set the origin of the cabinet in the drawing. I know I could just draw it and move it to the desired height but I would like to know how to do this.. Thanks
Random Vertical Drill Selection
Hello, We have a Biesse Rover CNC and when vertically drilling 5mm diameter holes, the CNC will sometimes use the 5mm_Brad drill bit and other times will use the 5mm_Thru bit. This seems random, but also may have to do with relationship of the orientation of the drill bits on the drilling block with the orientation of the holes being drilled... For example: the 5mm_Brad bits in the drilling block are aligned on the Y-axis of the spoil board, and the 5mm_Thru bits are on the X-axis. When drilling

Labels for architectural panels
When you have a room labeled "lobby wall panels", Microvellum will print all of the labels for those panels with "lobby wall panels" at the top. But for installation of those panels, you have to have each panel with its own row and column number on it, so that you know exactly where it goes on the wall. Is there a way to make that happen in Microvellum? Or do you just need to print your architectural panel numbers on a different set of labels?
Microvellum Tables
Does anyone use these Tables in MV? I've been playing around with them to see if they are worth setting up in a Title Sheet but they do not seem to be very user friendly. I can add rows but cannot remove rows, and cannot add or remove columns, or if you can I can't seem to figure out how. It almost seems that you need to have the exact size of your table figured out in advance. Are they worth using or set up blocks with attributes? I do like the fact that they can be resized on the fly.

Processing station individual codes for duplicate runs
In creating a nest for a job I noticed that if there are identical runs the processing station just creates one code and requests it to be run multiple times on the report. Is there a setting where I can get it to create unique g-code for each run. i am concerned that a less experienced CNC operator will miss the reference to the quantity and only run the program once. Splitting oversized parts
Hi all, i posed a similar question regarding oversized backs, but does anyone have experience in splitting oversized parts? In Cabinetvision you just pick your part and choose the split point. Any function like that in Microvellum? I know the extruded product builder can split parts at maximum material length.
v67 Adding Routing to a Subassembly Part
Does anyone out there remember how to add route machining to a subassembly part in v67? For example, using the button "Draw Part in 2D" and selecting the door (subassembly part) in the drawing results in an error message "This selection is part of a subassembly. You cannot modify this part." If you remember how to do this would you reply with a short procedure?
Fill Wall With Products not working with some products
Occasionally I will try to fill a wall with a product, but the product's Width does not get adjusted properly. These are the same products every time, so it leads me to believe that there's something in the product's spreadsheet that isn't set properly rather than the actual "Fill Wall With Products" command misbehaving. I know it's happened with a couple products I use semi-regularly, but specifically now it's the Valance product. Library 44.1. The default value of the Valance product is "=IF(Units=1,96,2438)",

Editing Materials
Hello, This should hopefully be an easy one... I am trying to edit one (or more) of my materials from within Project Level Specification Group, but cannot figure out how to do it. I have watched some videos and it seems like I should be able to double click (left) or right click on the material that I would like to edit, however when I double click nothing happens, and when I right click the 'Edit Selected Material...' is grayed out. I have attached a screenshot. Am I missing something here? Thanks,
label order for nesting
What defines the order of the labels for the MV nesting optimization? For example, our labels sometimes come out of order, meaning one label from one pattern will be mixed up with labels for another pattern. The information on the labels is correct but we have to manually sort through the roll of labels to find idividual ones that aren't in the same group as others from that same sheet.
2 sided cabinet
trying to make a cabinet that has 2door/2drawer on one side and 2door/false front on the other side- I have built two cabinets and tried to use the associative feature to transfer machining from one side to the other- I am missing the machining for the hinges and false front on the back side of the cabinet. Two options: 1- Can I copy the machining from the one side to the other side somehow? 2- I tried modifying the base island with no luck- I am running toolbox v48, where there some updates that
Nesting Parts - Centerline Routing
I created and processed parts for a die wall. When I open the drawing with the nested parts, it looks good with the nested parts being cut using Centerline routing. After I create the Machine G-Code for the panel, the Centerline routing becomes Right Compensated routing . I did the same thing yesterday with basically the same parts and the Centerline routing remained Centerline routing after making G-Code. I have not changed the toolfile or the processing station. This may sound like a really dumb question, but what are the advantages of upgrading to a newer version of Toolbox and keeping the same Library? I know continued support is one reason but what would be the others?
New to MV
I wanted to introduce myself, I am a long time Cabinet Vision user (I actually worked for CV as a support tech for a short period) just started a job at a Microvellum shop. I am pretty unfamilur with MV at the moment, but I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about it. I just wanted to say hello and thanks in advance for any help I get. The CV forum was very helpful when learning how to navigate the software and I am sure this site will be as important as I learn new skills.
How to make Hardware machining to move from face 6 to face 5?
I am using ROUTEDHOLE as a machining token for hardware (lock) and want to make it on face 5. By default, it is on face 6 and lock assembly is on face 6 too. Is there any way I can have that machining on face 5?
What is the MITER 2 8 TOKEN, or any other corner combination?
This looks like a machining token, but I can't get it to nest after entering the correct tool. This token started appearing after a build upgrade some time ago. Is it just a drawing token? If so, why is there a tool number field? Is there a way to make it work? We have a straight line route token that we use for applying a miter to an edge, but it would be easier if I didn't have to delete this one first. I found another token named "Miter Panel Edge" but this is not named correctly because
Has EQV changed?
Is it just me or does EQV not work like it used to? I used to be able to get equal spaced parts now they seem to be rather random. This is using the 526 build.
