Microvellum Foundation Library Release Notes | Build 25.0418
The following release notes apply to Microvellum Foundation Library build 25.0418.
Additions
- Added a new Cost Based Estimating Report, “Shop Quote Optimized Option”. Instead of using the square footage plus waste, this will use the actual optimized sheet quantity.
- Added the new Magic Wire Removable Shelf System for the Shelf Adj Component Insert:
- Added new global variable “Use Magic Wire”.
- Lookup Table added to the Hardware file LookUpTableMagicWire.
- Also added to the Angled Shelf Adj subassembly.
- Hardware Materials added:
- Magic Wire 257
- Magic Wire 320
- Magic Wire 128
- Magic Wire 160
- Magic Wire 197
- Added the ability to perfect grain match the raised and flat panels within the Solid Wood Door door type.
- Added a new global variable and prompt to the Shelf ADJ subassembly, "Shelf Hole Min Depth Back Notch". This will add shelf supports to the notched panel when the Adjusted_Depth_Back_Right>Shelf_Hole_Min_Depth_Back_Notch for the right notch and vice versa for the left notch. This was achieved by adding an additional shelf token with an offset in parameter 8, which is the width of the notch. In the original SHELF token, the rear hole placement has been increased to fall off the panel (Depth+M2U(50,G!Accuracy).
- Added the ability for users to create their own uniquely named custom toe kick subassemblies and still have associated prompts displayed correctly. Formulas will now be written to check for one of the following text strings (below) to be included in the custom subassembly name:
- “Notched Toe Kick”
- “Adjustable Legs”
- “Toe Kick Assembly Box”
- “Toe Kick Drawer”
- Added additional global variables (below) for more control over the Invisible Fasteners construction method:
- “Invisible Fastener Pline Bulge List” - Linked to Column 14 of H!LookUpTableInvisibleFasteners.
- “Invisible Fastener Vector Feed Speeds” - Linked to Column 15 of H!LookUpTableInvisibleFasteners.
- “Invisible Fastener Pline Options” - Linked to Column 16 of H!LookUpTableInvisibleFasteners.
- “Invisible Fastener Tool Compensation” - Linked to Column 20 of H!LookUpTableInvisibleFasteners.
- Added the ability to have up to six hinges for the Component Folding Doors subassembly.
- Added 2D cross section tokens for Countertop product’s depth and thickness.
- ADA Sink Angled Frame – Refactored the entire product:
- Simplified the product prompt options.
- Added a “Use ADA Default Settings” check box.
- Added product prompt help images for the ADA options.
- Renamed certain ADA prompt names for better clarity.
- Resolved issue with the machining & edgebanding for the sides.
- Added additional material prompts for greater control:
- “Toe Kick Material”
- “Sub Front Material”
- “Apron Material”
- “Bottom Material”
- “Top Material”
- Added three new global variables to allow greater control over screw, dowel, and cam spacing at corner cabinets & corner closet products. When checked, these options calculate the custom spacing for the top and bottom panels of corner (pie-cut) cabinets from the front edge rather than the machine origin at the back:
- “Screw Corner Custom Spacing From Front”
- “Dowel Corner Custom Spacing From Front”
- “Cam Corner Custom Spacing From Front”
- Added the G2 Runner option to the Hafele Matrix Slim drawer system.
- Added two new global variables to provide an option to offset to the hinge placement on one side of a shared division panel when doors are mounted on both sides. It helps avoid hardware interference by shifting the hinge position slightly:
- “Hinge At Division Control” (None|Left Side|Right Side)
- “Hinge At Division Offset”
- Added two new prompt variables to Blind Corner cabinets to control the amount the shadow line is extended into the blind panel. If set at 0 then no notch will be added to the blind panel:
- “Shadow Line Extension Left”
- “Shadow Line Extension Right”
- Added new drawer system Titus Vitek.
- 25kg, 35kg White.
- Heights 79mm, 114mm, 150mm.
- Runner Lengths 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550 mm.
- Added hidden elevation lines for all wood drawer box & system drawer subassemblies. Added global variable “Elevation Hidden Drawer Lines" to turn on or off the drawer box hidden lines.
Modifications/Resolutions General
- All DWG graphics files have been purged of extra annotative scales and saved in the 2018 AutoCAD version. This was done to prevent the extra scales from being reintroduced into an active drawing when products are added. *
- Resolved a machining issue with Hettich Intermat 9935 95° Special Thick Door hinges.
- Made some detailed changes to the Rocheleau R13 drawer based on user feedback.
- Resolved the issue with “Construction Method Thick Back” not matching the machining inside the Cabinet Modification Split Back subassembly. Also updated the “Use Dado” prompts to match that of the product.
- Resolved an issue with adjustable shelf hole rows not responding to the rear notched cabinet side when the notch depth exceeds the "Shelf_Hole_Min_Depth_Back_Notch" value.
- Resolved several issues with Corner Filler With Cleats product.
- Resolved a drawer prompt issue inside Component Drawers subassembly. Now, “Top Drawer Slide Selection” will only appear when there is a top drawer.
- Resolved a regression issue with the “J Pull” handle option. Feature has been restored.
- Resolved a regression issue with Upper Cabinets with bottom valance, scribe filler, and overlay bottom. Sides will now be the correct size.
- Updated the Sink subassembly. “Cutout Corner Radius” and “Substrate Cutout Offset” prompts will now be visible. Also now allows entering a negative value for “Cutout Gap”.
- Resolved an issue in Base 1 Drawer Microwave cabinet. "Top Reveal" prompt will now control the top reveal of the drawer front.
- Resolved machining issues with certain Blum Aventos HK-Top lift-up hardware. Drilling will now be on correct door face when using thinner material.
- Updated the Blum SPACE STEP:
- Will now align the kick face to have the same setback as adjacent standard kick faces.
- Changed the 3D cad layer to use the “3D_KICK” layer.
- Resolved issue with inside height calculation.
- Resolved an issue with the Farmhouse Sink subassembly. Selecting the “Single Bowl” option will now draw correctly in 3D.
- Modified the behavior of screw, dowel, and cam locations for custom spacing on divisions and fixed shelves. The placement of the holes will now match the cabinet tops & bottoms. This adjustment ensures that the part width lookup aligns with the cabinet top's width when using a captured back construction method.
- Resolved drilling location issue for the Hinge BLUM Bi-Fold 60Deg Knock-In hinge.
- Resolved misspelled global variable “Connecting Hole Max Sapcing”. Now “Connecting Hole Max Spacing”.
- Resolved error inside “Inset Door Reveal” prompt within the Solid Wood Door subassembly.
- Resolved issue with Dishwasher & Fridge appliance products with applied panels. They were missing “Product Type” prompt which prevented them from processing correctly. Also moved the “Add Item Number” prompt to the main tab. This will need to be checked to process the product.
- Resolved issue with “Door Style” prompt not appearing in the Door and Drawer Front report. The prompt is also now a control type 5 combo box to make it easier to add new door style options in the future.
- Renamed the product Integrated Dishwasher (corrected spelling) and resolved issue with the handle not centering horizontally.
Additions/Resolutions Face Frame Cabinetry
- Updated the Face Frame subassembly elevation drawing to show the horizontal rails. Using overlay doors will put them on the FACEFRAME-H layer.
- Resolved hardware association issue with Blum Aventos HF lift-up system.
- Addressed issue with the drop-down door hinges. In the LookUpTableDropDownSystems, we’ve set the “Center Hinge Hardware Name” (Column 15) and the “Center Hinge Plate Hardware Name” (Column 16) to 0. This configuration ensures the system uses the default hinge and hinge plate specified in the hardware prompts. If no hinge or hinge plate is required, you can set these columns to "None" to omit them from the hardware selection.
Additions/Resolutions Office Furniture Expansion
- Resolved issue with worktops and their “Add Scallop Cutout” feature. The edgeband thickness has been added as an offset to the virtual route. We have also added a draw only route without the offset so it will draw correctly in 3D.
Resolutions Staircase Expansion
- Added "Library Version" prompt to all staircase products and subassemblies.
- Resolved a positioning issue of the bullnose steps for C-shaped and U-shaped stairs.
- Resolved a wedge routing issue on the qtr platforms.
- Resolved issues with Cut Stringer and Box Stringer options.
- Handrails will now appear when selected.
- Added missing global variables to the Library Update:
- “Keyway Large Radius”
- “Keyway Small Radius”
- “Keyway Tolerance”
- “Double Keyway Large Radius”
- “Double Keyway Small Radius”
- “Double Keyway Tolerance”
- “Double Keyway Distance Between Keyways”
* Not included in Library Update, only in the full install.
