Turning a base cabinet into a upper cabinet
Hi guys I am working on turning a base drawer cabinet into a wall hung vanity for the library and was wondering if anyone knew how to apply the height above floor prompt to a base cabinet - I can't really work out how an upper cabinet gets drawn at that height.. I guess I'm asking where I can set the origin of the cabinet in the drawing. I know I could just draw it and move it to the desired height but I would like to know how to do this.. Hello, We have a Biesse Rover CNC and when vertically drilling 5mm diameter holes, the CNC will sometimes use the 5mm_Brad drill bit and other times will use the 5mm_Thru bit. This seems random, but also may have to do with relationship of the orientation of the drill bits on the drilling block with the orientation of the holes being drilled... For example: the 5mm_Brad bits in the drilling block are aligned on the Y-axis of the spoil board, and the 5mm_Thru bits are on the X-axis. When drillingApply Materials Add New Colours

Does anyone use these Tables in MV? I've been playing around with them to see if they are worth setting up in a Title Sheet but they do not seem to be very user friendly. I can add rows but cannot remove rows, and cannot add or remove columns, or if you can I can't seem to figure out how. It almost seems that you need to have the exact size of your table figured out in advance. Are they worth using or set up blocks with attributes? I do like the fact that they can be resized on the fly.Glitch in the forums

Hello, This should hopefully be an easy one... I am trying to edit one (or more) of my materials from within Project Level Specification Group, but cannot figure out how to do it. I have watched some videos and it seems like I should be able to double click (left) or right click on the material that I would like to edit, however when I double click nothing happens, and when I right click the 'Edit Selected Material...' is grayed out. This may sound like a really dumb question, but what are the advantages of upgrading to a newer version of Toolbox and keeping the same Library? I know continued support is one reason but what would be the others?New to MV
I wanted to introduce myself, I am a long time Cabinet Vision user (I actually worked for CV as a support tech for a short period) just started a job at a Microvellum shop. I am pretty unfamilur with MV at the moment, but I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about it. I just wanted to say hello and thanks in advance for any help I get. This looks like a machining token, but I can't get it to nest after entering the correct tool. This token started appearing after a build upgrade some time ago. Is it just a drawing token? If so, why is there a tool number field? Is there a way to make it work? We have a straight line route token that we use for applying a miter to an edge, but it would be easier if I didn't have to delete this one first. I found another token named "Miter Panel Edge" but this is not named correctly becauseHas EQV changed?

Hello, I had a late night thought. I can bring in AutoCad Blocks with dynamic features thru the DRAWBLOCK command... but is there a way to have that block inherit attributes from the design data? Let's say the block has a width attribute can I inherit that width's value from a part/cabinet's width value? Hello, I am having issues with using a 1/4" diameter tool for cutting 1/4" thick material. We use a 1/4" downshear bit say Tool # T1332 to cut our G1S melamine. In the material file I have set the Code for this material as T1332|T1332 to override the tool selection to use the T1332 bit. The code spits out everything fine, except that the distance between parts is our standard .5625" set in our processing station "distance between parts". We cut our 3/4" bonded pre-lam panels with a different diamond compression bit. Say Tool # 1333. In the material file for our bonded material I have set the code to |T1333. This works for changing the tool to spit out code with the perimeter route as T1333. But it adds a F2500 to the lines of code which errors the code out at the machine. Why is it adding a hidden feed rate? Sometimes I have internal routes that would need to be both T1333 and T1332(1/4") so I left the space before the [|} blank.Nesting Part Number Sequence
Does anyone know if there is a way to control the order parts are numbered on a nested sheet? Right now they seem to be numbered going left to right starting from the origin. I was wondering if there was a way to get the parts to number top to bottom? We just purchased a machine with an offloader, so now the operator stands on the side of the table instead of the front, and it would be helpful if we could get the labels to print in the order he will be unloading parts.Is there a way to import a workorder from spreadsheet

Is there a way to shut off the lead in for the back dado route? I have tried setting the value in the global settings to 0, but the lead in is not affected. I have a machine that wants to add its own lead in and it doesn't like that the "geometry intersects itself". I tried going to Biesse and addressing it with them since it only does it on certain size parts for some reason, but they wanted to ignore that part and just say its the lead in from Microvellum. I need to generate barecodes for our automated edgebander but on of the info I need on my barcode is the program selection. The program code needs to be selected tacking into account the thickness of the edgeband as well as the emplacement on the pieces i.e.: if it is on the front and back of the piece or on a side. I know I can have the thickness from the edge selection at project creation but i'm not sure how to go about handling the edge placement part of it and how to combine the two into selectingTool Palette

Hello, I'm trying to add handle hardware that changes size according to Cabinet Width. The formula so far is =IF(L!Width>450,"Enko_110_320mm.dwg","Enko_110_224mm.dwg" in the Hardware association. It changes the hardware in the material file depending on what cabinet I've been in last but doesn't change each cabinet automatically. Has anyone achieved this or tried? I'm attempting to adjust the rollout drawer front scoop cut so it doesn't come down so far. Currently it looks like a semicircle with transitions. Below is a 2d version of what the stock variables are producing with Rollout Cutout Radius of 2" and Rollout Cutout Transition Radius set to 0.5" Here's what I'm hoping to accomplish Has anyone ever adjusted these variables. In the old venue you could comment on an article from the knowledge databse, but in the new one you cannot. I just tried to follow an article called "Adding a Drawer Slide" and I couldn't get it to work because the article failed to mention that, if your library is older than 50, it will not automatically add the new drawer slide to the list in the project wizard and in the drw box tab of the cabinet prompts. Fortunately, via a help ticket, I discovered you can add it manually to the "List DrawerTool File Info.

At times it would be nice to have all the configuration information in one place, besides the registry. There are times when I am working, testing and trying different things between different databases on different servers and I find that at the moment the quickest is to work in the registry as I don't have to open and then reopen Acad/Mv as often. Does anyone know how to reopen a ticked that was solved, but the problem reoccurred? I can't seem to figure out how to do it on this new support site. I asked a MV agent over the phone but he wasn't sure either. I knew how to do it on the old site. If I rearrange the parts of a nest to eliminate the need for a sheet of material I would like to find a way to remove it from the nest. Using UPDATE ALL NEST will leave the original program unchanged and the extra sheet of material in the summary.Add WallOffset to Prompt Bar
You know how some products have "Height Above Floor" in the bar at the bottom of the prompts window? And you can add it to a product that doesn't already have it? There is another great feature called "Wall Offset". I would like it to be included on that bar too right next to "Height Above Floor".
