Adding Drawer Track and Bay Locations to the "Drawer Box List Report"
I have been asked to update the standard "Drawer Box List Report" that we generate for the shop with a few items to make it easier and provide more information. I am having some issues getting things to generate correctly or at all. I think these would also be good options to add into future reports so they are more robust and fully operational. Bay Locations Using the {Subassemblies.BayPosition} I am able to get the bay position number on the report. We have a report that was created / modified early on in when we were in training with Microvelllum to output items that we cut “Off line” These are “stock” materials like rear cabinet nailers, toe kicks, Drawer box parts, that we can grab and cut quicker and have better optimization by hand than on a Nested or P2P machine. We now have the opportunity to output much of this to a Weinig s90 cross-cut saw which will save us time and be more effective and accurate. When combining several projects together the doors get placed on top of each other. I think this has to do with the grain identifier number which uses the item number as a unique code. However, when running several projects together that have the same material and similar products it can very easily have the same sized products with the same unique number. One idea that I have is being able to add the project name in Grain Identifier prompt which would definitely make it unique, but I can't figurePerfect Graining Accross Multiple Projects

Can someone tell me where or how these layers are generated from in the 2D Parts editor? When you first add the machining, The machining is on the layer "ROUTE_Z0PXXXXXX". But once you save that part it adds the word RAMP at the end. I think this is normal but why is this? One of my PMs, has a problem that when he programs a part in MV it does not come over correctly in WoodWop. When we open the part in WoodWop, it's coming in with the "Tangential" approach. It needs to come over with the "Vertical"Multi Select Projects to Move / Delete / Change Status or Use Windows Explorer
In the current setup if you need to move, delete, or change status of several projects, it needs to be done one at a time. Using Database Management can help with deleting but only if you export it first. My suggestion is to have either a multi-select option or at least having ctrl / shift work to select multiple projects. Alternatively having a windows explorer location where creating new folders / modifying location / deleting projects would reflect in MV's Projects list.Setting up Multi pass for pocketing shaker doors
We are wanting to set our pocketing tool up as a multipass tool to mainly improve the quality of the surface when straight off the CNC. The idea is to do the main pocket and then have a second pass to remove 0.5mm to clean the board with a 5mm offset We thought we had the tool file correct but are unable to get it to assign the multipass tool when processing the doorsArdis grain errors
Has anyone had issues with Microvellum not sending Ardis all the grain information? I have found that grain info is missing on drawer sides. The front and back are fine but no grain direction on the sides so we have to find the sides and set the grain or we get cross grain drawer box sides. Got any ideas?LINE BORE

When creating an extruded product in Solid Modelling Tools, each extruded part is assigned a material with a specific thickness. Typically drawings are made before receiving the sheetgoods. We draw the parts with their nominal material thickness. After receiving the sheetgoods, we would calibrate the material to get the actual thickness. Somehow my base carcass lost it's intermediate stretcher. I have an older catalog (#35) that has that part, so I saved it to the clipboard. A designer wants a certain pull in various sizes throughout a kitchen. I am very new to MV and I am becoming stumped on adding these as a hardware item and it showing up in drawings and machining. I have copied other hardware pulls and changed the dimensions to the ones I need but I am not getting anything. As soon as I change the hardware to a stock MV pull it shows up fine. With MV Tech's help we isolated the EventLogs data as the culprit swelling our SQL database so large we couldn't run the Transfer Table command. Using a SQL Mgmt Studio we Query "delete from EventLogs", Shrink the Data and we're good to go again. Even with about 9 months worth of work in the production database the dbase size is under 2gb. The EventLog had swollen to over 4gb and made creating a CE version for remote use impossible. We have recently switched our labels to a 4x1 Roll Feed. We want to be able to print the labels ahead of time for the shop, so when they are cutting on the saw, they can easily have the labels ready to put on the parts. We're currently running OEM v20.1.617, lib 46.2 mm. I regularly export & delete my library dev project from the production server so I can import the latest revisions from the Sandbox. The last three times I've done this my first Export & Delete attempt throws up an error window re: a Sharing Violation as if the project or drawing were in use. Hello, I am trying to modify a vector location formula and can't get the syntax correct. I have a custom countertop product that routes a scribe relief along the back edge of a 1-1/8 sub material. My problem is that this route remains constant no matter if finished right end or finished left end is selected the route continues to be +/- 0.25 the product length. I am trying to add IF statements for starting and ending the route 2 inches inside of the finished ends. We are using thick backs with lock dados. The DADO machining tokens for the top, bottom, left and right have a parameter(9) named Tongue Tool Number. This allows a tool to be assigned to the routings that produce the tongue. Unfortunately, the resulting routings have left hand tool compensation and there is no option to change them to right hand compensation. The primary reason why this would be useful is dimensional accuracy. The back has the best chance of matching the size of the top and bottomOptimization Option
I think an option for optimizing from "Largest to Smallest" would be an option to add. It would be a little different to "Best Yield" in that: 1- The First part with largest area would be placed first 2- Second part with next largest area would be placed if it fits, if not skipped untill largest part that fits in available space found. 3- then go back to the largest available part and continues.
