Perfect Graining
When we have perfect graining turned on and have the "Split Double Width Cabinets" click on to help save material in the optimization, the single drawer with 2 doors stays grained matched, but our sink cabinet with 2 doors 1 false front gets broken apart and doesn't grain match anymore. If we unclick "Split Double Width Cabinets", the sink cabinet parts stay grain matched, but our optimization isn't as good. I would think if the single drawer 2 door cabinet stays grain matched, so would the sinkSection Drawings as Blocks
I recently updated my version of MV and my section views are now being generated as a block. When I explode the block to adjust dimensions, add hardware, ect, the dimensions, associated hatching, and every other component break down into individual lines. Is anyone else experiencing this?Mirror Room?
What are you guys doing to Mirror a room? I know others are running into this, say on a typical and similar kitchens, exam rooms, etc. I notice that there is no mirror room, only mirror product. once and a while I use it and it works right, other times the results are funky. But, that could have been old versions. I just tried it in the latest beta and it failed. I'm not sure if it only worked on 2D drawings?.IFC Export from toolbox
Goooood morning MV Team, I am running into the need more and more to export our 3d models to .IFC format. working with the BIM environment. our Clients are pressing really hard on BIM these days and understandably I get it. however tool box OEM 2020 does not have the option to export to .IFC. can we please get this feature added to 2020 asap. hot fix next build, today tomorrow, which ever comes first please. haha. the work flow is: we take their Revit model, pull out of it the main floor planssending and saving file as .dxf

I was working for 7 years in a company using microvellum and the last 2 years I bought my own license to work at home for the same company. During the 2 years I import and export a lot of projects, submittal for hospitals, schools, commercials case work, red line, 3d in AutoCAD and using solid analyzer for receptions, etc. and I never, never get any problem. I was using the same version, tools file, library and template. Suddenly the company bought a new point to point, some people from microvellumWhat product allows pocket door hardware to be used?
I see that the library already has Accuride pocket door hardware set up for 1321 series. We are not seeing a prompt or a product that uses pocket doors? Before we can decide if 1321 series will work for us or if we need to add an additional slide, we need to know how to activate/use this hardware.Issue with machine token not working on product
I am having an issue with a partition/divider for a vanity. The single division is supposed to be dado into carcass bottom and top stretchers with a 1.5" set back and that is not happening. I created this vanity using a starter product and saved it to our library previously and that machined fine on our CNC. Now that we ran this again it is not associating the set back and dado. I drew a new product starter and that is working as normal so I compared the machining tokens in part properties and theyPerfect Grain
When setting up a bank of drawers with perfect grain in say a bank of 4 drawers, #1 drawer is in #2 position, #3 & #4 are perfect.MV product layer colours
Does anyone know how to change the colours & line types of MV products in the 3D view? eg: doors, shelves etc... I know how to do it in each room with AutoCAD layers. But I want to customise the products and save them back with those line types and colours, so they draw in as such on every new project/room. Does anyone know how to do this? Anybody else experiencing extremely large file sizes on any Toolbox OEM builds 20.1 .XXXX? I have a support ticket for this, but I can't believe it hasn't been addressed yet..,, Which makes me wonder about other users' experience... How I've been testing this is... I will open a new drawing, draw in one 3D product and save the drawing and record the file size. Then I wall redraw that product once and save the drawing again. Just that single redraw will increase the file size by about 2000KB.Saw Groove Width
We currently us the Saw Tool for all of our 1/4" back machining, except upper sidewalls, these are done with a 1/4" router bit. The two widths vary a little and I'd like to increase the width of the Saw Groove but can't locate where to do this at.Cutrite PTX
When Microvellum generates the ptx file for Cutrite it brings in the required information to process the job. I want to know if I am the only one with the following issue or not. We print labels that contain all the information we need for the part including the width and length. On grained material we use width and length to determine how the grain runs. We start with the sheet 4' x 8' this tells us the grain runs along the 8' length. If I see a label that says 12 x 36 I know that the grain runsWork order editor is missing key features
The new work order editor feature could be quite useful but is currently mostly unusable since it wont let you change part sizes or material thickness, you can change the quantities and sizes of materials but not thickness for some reason.... This would have saved me a couple hours of re doing work because a sheet thickness changed and now I have to reprocess everything for the job.how to show tool tip and single click button selection in control panel?
My microvellum control panel does not show tool tips when hovering over a button . Also some thing has changed , or I mistakenly changed it , but now I have to double click the buttons to select a action like product prompts. I seem to remember it was a single click before .New Zealand Specific

For our file drawers, we run small routes in the front & back of the drawer that holds the file bar in place. We currently have a parametric program we use in WoodWop but how can I incorporate this to automatically populate in MV when a File Drawer is selected? How do you undock the tool box. I have been using the toolbox on the right hand side. It has recently moved itself to the left . Came in this morning and it kicked me out of the library I was using over the weekend some how. Now the toolbox is on the left . I right click on the shaded microvellum section above the tool box and it says allow docking but its not clickable. I cannot make the tool box wider or narrow either. I would like to move the tool box back to the right hand side.Drawer Slides with more than 5 holes
Library 44.1 We have some KV 8908 32" drawer slides that we need to use for a project. It has (7) drawer slide holes that need to be machined into the carcass. I've added the slides as normal and everything is working, with the exception that there are only (5) holes being drilled. I'm guessing this is because the G!LookUpTableSystemDrawerSlide look up table only has columns for the first through fifth slide holes. So my question is, can I add two more columns to the look up table, between columnsDraw 2D Wall Plan View walls not connected error

Currently, we submit all of our Millwork Shop Drawings on 8 1/2 x 11, which has work for us for years and still does. I'm in the process of revamping our submittal process and now that almost everything we submit is entirely digital, I'd like to set up for 11 x 17. The problem is that my production paperwork is set up for, and prefers, 8 1/2 x 11. I'm sure there's a way to do all of our Shop Drawings at 11 x 17, and be able to easily print these out at 8 1/2 x 11 for our Production Sets, but notEQ formulas change to hard numbers
I've noticed that the origins of parts driven from EQ formulas change to a hard number when accessing the Origin + Rotation tab of The Part Properties of a product. For example, when I go to the Origin + Rotation tab of a Nailer, the Z origin of the part changes to the hard number of "0". I can see the EQ2 formula flash briefly in the cell, but it quickly flashes to a 0.Angle for back of cabinet in bay window
Curious to know how to angle a cabinet in the back instead of the front. I have tried messing with transition cabinets but it seems it will only do the fronts. See the attachment of the bay window and I have drawn lines of where the cabinets need to go.Batch wise Manufacturing reports

Is there a way to draw an "invisible wall" like in v67? Sometimes I need to drop cabinets in an open area where there are not walls. In v67, it would just draw a line as a reference to drop the cabinets. In the newer version, you cannot draw a wall with no thickness. There will always be a wall drawn. I know you can turn off the AutoCAD layer that the walls are drawn in, but it would be nice if you did not have to turn on and off layers.Is anybody besides me experiencing 10 times longer to open and save a drawing with the 20.1.617.641 build using OEM2020?
One of the nice, new features of this upgrade was supposed to be faster times for loading and saving drawings. I have experienced just the opposite. I'm talking around 10 times slower for both. I have seen a few plugs for outsourced MV drawing services. Send Toolfile, Library, Template, etc receive back drawings that look like yours! Products ready to process! I'm a realist though and it sounds too easy. We can see a possibility of needing to outsource a few drawings soon, and would be interested in giving this method a shot. How can I edit the image that is produced on a product label? I can't even find where they are located. I know they are generic images that pertain to a product no matter its size or makeup so i figure there should be a folder full of them somewhere. I would like the option or the ability to opt out of having OverDrive Pro. Why? Because some users constantly try and rely on it for everything rather than use edit product data or part properties. It's either a case of old habits die hard or not wanting to move forwards, either way it's a crutch that I would like the ability to remove thus making users move forward and learn and use other tools.changing material across multiple spec groups

When you open part properties & select a piece, then an edge and click "show this edge" it highlights said edge in red on your 3D product. However this doesn't work sometimes most of the time. You have to close part properties, redraw the product, & even change the angle you're looking at it from sometimes then try again. Sometimes this doesn't even work, we find ourselves often closing down MV completely, reopening it, loading the project & the room again, just to get the function working properly.Turning a base cabinet into a upper cabinet
Hi guys I am working on turning a base drawer cabinet into a wall hung vanity for the library and was wondering if anyone knew how to apply the height above floor prompt to a base cabinet - I can't really work out how an upper cabinet gets drawn at that height.. I guess I'm asking where I can set the origin of the cabinet in the drawing. I know I could just draw it and move it to the desired height but I would like to know how to do this.. Hello, We have a Biesse Rover CNC and when vertically drilling 5mm diameter holes, the CNC will sometimes use the 5mm_Brad drill bit and other times will use the 5mm_Thru bit. This seems random, but also may have to do with relationship of the orientation of the drill bits on the drilling block with the orientation of the holes being drilled... For example: the 5mm_Brad bits in the drilling block are aligned on the Y-axis of the spoil board, and the 5mm_Thru bits are on the X-axis. When drillingNext Page
