Toolbox Release Notes | Build 25.1.0826.641
The following release notes apply to Toolbox build 25.1.0826.641
Perfect Graining Fixes
Several issues that have been reported involving perfect graining and the placement of parts in a container have been resolved:
Fig. 1: Improperly placed drawer fronts (top). - When optimizing products with a perfect grained container in the operation, it was sometimes the case that parts would be placed incorrectly, not conforming to the order or placement laid out in initial drawings. Certain parts, such as drawers and drawer fronts, would sometimes be placed at the top of the sheet, despite not being intended or set to, for example.
Fig. 2: An incorrectly aligned product (top) and the same product fixed (bottom).- A similar issue with the alignment of grain matched parts was also reported; grain matched parts, intended to occupy a specific position on a sheet during processing would instead be placed incorrectly, with top and bottom parts swapping positions, parts being flipped to the wrong face, or forced length/width placement.
- Another issue was specifically occurring when setting perfect grain parts in sawing optimization operations. A similar issue with part placement would occur, in which parts would be placed incorrectly when set to grain match, resulting in the grain container being larger than the actual sheet of material it was assigned to.
- All of these issues have been resolved- part placement in perfect graining containers should now be correct. Parts should no longer be moved in such a way that the container exceeds the size of the sheet it is on, parts should be placed on the correct side, with the correct formula for placement, and there should be no issue with either sawing or nesting operations that have perfect graining enabled.
Database Fixes and Modifications
Several issues that were connected to the use of databases have been resolved:
- There was an issue with linking information in the databases of some users. This would result in information failing to properly link itself to other attributes, such as the phone number of a contact failing to associate itself with the contact properly, resulting in the phone number not automatically appearing as intended whenever the contact is added into project positions under Company Setup.
- When copying products to a new, custom category using the database explorer, rather than appearing with their standard quantity of 1 (or whatever quantity was set to be their default using database explorer), the copied cabinets would instead all be set to have a quantity of 0.
Fig. 3: The new LabelImageName column in the data of a work order (highlighted).A new column of data has been added to the
database structure of work orders: the LabelImageName column, which lists the
file name of images associated to the labels of specific parts in the order.
- A modification has been made to the way that products can be imported into Toolbox. Prior to this modification, the data of imported products would import the product with the LinkIDCategory blank. This would result in the product(s) not being categorized upon import. This modification will instead allow products to be imported with the LinkIDCategory of the product intact.
- All of these issues have been resolved- databases should have all data correcting to their associated attributes, and copied products that have been created in a custom category should appear in their standard or set quantity. With the new LabelImageName column, users will now be able to locate the file name of the image associated with the labels for respective parts in their operation, and imported products should now be capable of being imported with their LinkIDCategory remaining intact, allowing for a smoother experience importing products.
UCS Origin Redraw Fix
- An issue was reportedly occurring in Toolbox AC wherein products would sometimes redraw incorrectly when their UCS origin was adjusted prior to being redrawn. It was found that certain drawing blocks, such as pulls and drawer slides, for instance, would be redrawn in an incorrect shape.
- This issue has been resolved- products should now be redrawn without their drawing blocks having any visible issues.
BSB Visual Style Modification
- A modification has been made to Toolbox BSB. As it was found that the efficiency of drawing and redrawing products was unaffected by the current visual style of model space, it is no longer necessary for drawings to default to the 2D Wireframe style to speed up the speed of the software’s processing. As such, in Toolbox BSB, drawings will no longer switch to the 2D Wireframe style in order to draw and redraw but instead remain set to the current visual style.
