Toolbox Release Notes | Build 25.1.1120.641
The following release notes apply to Toolbox build 25.1.1120.641
Mouse Wheel Fix
- There was a reported issue in certain interfaces (such as report groups) in which hovering over a dropdown menu (such as Output Type) would result in the options within that menu could be changed with a scroll of the mouse wheel, allowing for unintentional modifications by scrolling with the wheel. This issue has been resolved- scrolling with one’s mouse wheel should no longer be able to change the selected option when hovering over the interface.
Product List Fix
- An issue was reported with the use of the Product List command. The MVOVERDRIVEPRO command opens the Product List interface but requires a job to be open in order to do so. Some users found that when entering the command without having a job open, they would be alerted to first open a project (as expected), but after doing so, the command would not function until they restarted the software. This issue has been resolved- using the command first should not affect the functionality of the Product List.
UI Fixes
Multiple issues were noted within various parts of the user interface. All of the issues listed below have been resolved.
- It was noted that when attempting to copy and apply the origin point in the Part Properties, attempting to apply the copied value to the base point would result in the origin point changing as well.
- Some users reported an issue that would occur when attempting to open projects; when attempting to open a project, the interface would open the UI multiple times, rather than once.
Fig. 1: The Hardware Material Wizard interface missing its "Filter" button.- Within the Hardware Material Wizard, there was an issue wherein setting the handles on Base Cabinet Doors to “Pointers” rather than “Hardware” would result in the interface’s filter button disappearing from view.
Redrawing Fixes
Multiple issues were reported centered around attempting to redraw products or update drawings. All of the issues listed below have been resolved.
- There was an issue with copied projects wherein attempting to redraw products from an imported project would result in an error. Specifically, the presence of 2D drawings in the imported project would most frequently result in this error occurring. In instances where the products are updated, the 2D drawings would not be updated.
- A similar issue was reported, wherein attempting to redraw all products within a project that was copied and imported would result in a fatal error.
- When importing data of a product into a project, some users (specifically, users with a metric configuration database) reported an issue wherein they were unable to redraw an imported product from the database, instead receiving an alert that the current drawing does not contain the product.
- Some users experienced an issue in Toolbox AC and BSB, wherein having 2 rooms open simultaneously and modifying then redrawing a product in one room would result in an error. It would sometimes also result in changes being applied to products in the other room.
- All issues have been resolved- redrawing products should no longer cause any of these errors, and 2D drawings should correctly update when the corresponding products are updated.
Edgebanding Fix
- An issue was reported regarding the values of the Edgeband token, wherein reports would not calculate measurements correctly if the work order had a cabinet quantity greater than 1. It would instead calculate the edgebanding for each cabinet, rather than the sum total of cabinets. This issue has been resolved. Edgebanding should now calculate accordingly and display the correct measurements within reports.
Paper Space Fix
Fig. 2: The lines of a 2D drawing in paper space disappearing.- An issue was reported with 2D drawings in Toolbox BSB. When drawing 2D sections of products in paper space, then redrawing the product in model space, it is expected that the 2D drawing will update to reflect the changes. Instead, it was the case that the 2D drawing in paper space would instead lose most of its lines on an update. This issue has been resolved, and should no longer occur in paper space.
Copied Room Fix
- After processing a work order in Toolbox BSB, opening the composite drawing, then copying the existing room, an issue was reported in which the copied room would sometimes be called “Composite”, copying the name of the drawing rather than the actual room name. This issue has been resolved. Copied room should no longer have this issue with name changes.
Edit Design Data Fix
- When interacting with the Edit Design Data interface, it is expected that when searching for defined names, users will be redirected to the correct sheet, column, and the first cell of that column by the software. This was found not to be the case specifically when users hit the Enter key rather than clicking on the name with their mouse. This issue has been resolved and should no longer occur within the Edit Design Data interface.
Beta Optimizer Fixes
Multiple resolutions for issues with Microvellum’s Beta Optimizer have been applied. Some of the issues resolved include:
- A reported issue with Toolbox AC wherein the software would crash when attempting to apply paths associated with a default saw. This issue did not occur when the same order and saw was processed in BSB.
- An issue would sometimes occur when processing a work order with erroneous materials using the Beta Optimizer. When processing the order with erroneous materials, it is expected that the user will be alerted to issues with the specific materials, but the rest of the batch will process correctly. Instead, it was found that some users would receive no alert and instead experience the entire batch being deleted from its file output location.
- Some users reportedly experienced an issue wherein sawing operations with “Enable Repeat Optimization” enabled in their processing station would have the operation not complete, and the UI fail to display any data about the operation.
- There would sometimes be an error when attempting to process specific work orders with True Shape nesting enabled. A work order with True Shape nesting enabled would sometimes experience an error with part placement when the parts are sorted by Face 6 machining.
- Some users experienced an issue with part placement when using the Beta Optimizer, wherein parts would sometimes overlap or be placed outside of the nest boundaries. This would occur with both routed and sawing operations and was determined to be caused by issues with part rotation.
- Users reported an issue with repetitive errors when processing work orders with the Beta Optimizer. When processing a batch with the Beta Optimizer (True Shape enabled), an error would sometimes pop up asking if the user would like to continue the operation, which is to be expected in some scenarios. However, some users had an issue wherein the error would pop up repeatedly during optimization.
